I was a little worried the light feature would be a distraction for my 1st grader, but although he does think it's "cool", he isn't distracted. Overall they are good speakers, but a little "raspy". Maybe expecting crisp, clear sound is unreasonable, plus it could be related to the quality of the sound from the classroom that we're trying to amplify. We didn't try the speakers with a different source. Supplement volume was the goal and these speakers do that very well.

I have not had any issues with it all! Would certainly recommend. Plus, looks really cool on my work desk and my teens approve!
