Audio doesn't connect well

They were easy to use and pretty good quality. I accidentally washed them twice, once in the case and once out of the case but they still worked perfectly. I lost them so I decided to purchase these. They sound the same. But they take a while to connect and the audio always randomly stops. They have a slightly better battery life but that's about it. I'm tired of having to exit an app multiple times just to get the audio to connect to what I'm watching. Unfortunately I might switch to Apple products :(
