The headset earcups are smaller than the last gen a50s and do sound like they aren’t as loud but the sound is clean the positional sound for gaming is phenomenal love the virtual surround engine, however when I place them on the base to charge they stay connected and I can continue to hear the tv or game even if headset is off, I found turning them off and on while charging can make then shut down so that they charge quietly, however they tend to not connect when powering on after charging and the base needs to be unplugged and replugged for them to reconnect, not to mention the led indicators on the base after being connected for a while tend to stop responding when switching modes and again need to be unplugged and replugged to reconnect and at time the base will not respond to the reset and require being unplugged and replugged multiple times before reconnecting, contacted Astro and received a vague response about a firmware update that was being worked on to fix the issues but have yet to receive it or any other information, my advise steer clear until the issues are resolved as they are very annoying and will work your nerves to the point that you might break them out of frustration especially since they cost 300 dollars these issues are unacceptable.

Best headset ever and now it even has atmos and sound even better then the last gen. And believe me when i say the best ive tried turtle beach steel series and none of them come close to astro a50's

Bought these for my son. Games with the new Xbox Series X. According to my son these are the best sounding headphones he's used up to this point. He seemed to have trouble with the headband....he fixed with some duct tape.

I love the quality that astros brings to the table and the sound is amazing. I’ve been running astros for the last 3 generations and I’ve never had issues with them. I would pick them over turtle beaches every time!

These are the best gaming headphones I’ve ever used!! Setup is easy and the quality feels like your in the game at times. Everyone should by these!

Used them on my ps5 and instantly felt like a pro. I understand why there is so much hype for these. Super comfortable for the times I spent around 9 hours playing with friends

Excellent sound while either listening to music or trying to concentrate on any game I play whether it’d be Rainbow or Call of Duty, the price might deter some people but when you pay money for this kind of product it’s so worth it.

Absolutely worth every penny! I’ve had other headsets before like turtle beaches and this is by far way better!

Crisp quality and easy to use, only problem is with a ps5 you’ll need an adapter for better audio but if you have 1440p monitor they don’t have adapters for them yet so kinda lame

From issues with my Base Station updating the firmware, to my headset losing connectivity mid-game, the Astro A50s have been a complete and utter disappointment. I recently "upgraded" and purchased some A50s to replace my Turtle Beach Stealth 600s. The A50s are comfortable, but that is really the only positive thing I can say about them. Whenever I tried updating the firmware on my base station, the update would fail at 25%. Once I fixed that issue (by giving them to a friend to update on his base station), I noticed that when I would leave an Xbox Live Party and utilize game chat, I would be able to hear my teammates voice, but they would not be able to hear me. I would need to mess around with the cables and wires, unplugging one after the other, turning headset and base station on and off, to finally get them to work. Lastly, I had major issues changing the game vs chat volume on my headset mid game on Xbox, and would need to quickly connect to my PC to change the volume. TL;DR: Stray away from these overpriced headphones and buy something more cost friendly. These will be collecting dust in my closet while my old reliable Stealth 600s return to the playing field.

Good audio quality, cheap headset quality. I didnt know that several people have issues with the top cushion just popping off all the time

I’ve used about every headset out there... an Astro headsets have been the best. The quality is above all else. Been using Astro headsets for over 5 years and haven’t looked back. Have even converted friends to use Astros. A must buy

good sound quality. not bad directional sound but could definitely be better. works a tad better when you find decent EQ settings

Best headphones I’ve ever used, I have used the A40s and the sound quality is much better on these, but the A40s have a slightly clearer microphone but it is not very noticeable, but the sound quality is off the chain definitely recommend

the quality is great but you have to reset the thing so it works properly more than you should for a headset this expensive.

I have owned 3 of these already! I tried to change it up but ended up returning the Logitechs and getting another Astro A50. Can’t beat the sound quality.

Pretty expensive but it a good a headset they are very comfortable which is what i like the most about them
