||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great sound quality, battery life, and wireless convenience. The charging stand can be a little finicky when trying to place the headset back onto it to charge, but its not the end of the world.

Best built headphones at Best Buy (gaming) but...
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Build quality is absolutely top notch. Mostly plastic but feels premium a.ef. Comfortable for hours of use and the battery life is oddly long. Ridiculously long to be honest. Ex; after about 4 or 5 hours of non stop use, the battery meter went from 4 of 4 dots to 3 of 4 dots. HOWEVER... iPersonally feel like the out of the box sound was absolute trash compared to how much these cost. (I’ve only used on pc) Yes, you’ll be able to clearly hear footsteps and game details without issue but what’s missing is the bass of previous headsets. Weird thing is I’m coming from the Astro a50 1st gen headset (the big green and white ones with terrible battery longevity) and iSwear they sound better (out of the box). After tinkering like crazy with the EQ settings from the command software, I’ve found a more reasonable sound that works better with experiences outside of gaming (music, movies, VR, parn etc).... but it took ALOT of fine tuning. p.s. I’m using the A50s through SPIDIF connected to sound blaster sound card. The sound card EQ has been flattened out to better gauge the headset themselves. Ultimately had to go back to EQ settings on Sound card because Astro sound was just too insufficient to me.

Good but stationary
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Astro A50 headset stands out as a significant upgrade from the Xbox Wireless Headset. Its superior sound quality, with crisp highs and deep lows, provides an immersive audio experience that's a cut above. The build quality is also a noticeable improvement, offering both durability and comfort for extended gaming sessions. The customization options available for sound profiles further enhance its versatility. While the Xbox Wireless Headset is a solid choice, the Astro A50 takes it to the next level, making it a fantastic choice for gamers seeking a more premium audio experience. Only con is it's more of a stationary headset, so cant really take it out to travel.

Posted .Thanks for the detailed feedback! We're glad you're enjoying the immersive audio and comfortable design of the Astro A50. The customization options are definitely a great feature for getting the perfect sound for your games. We understand it's not ideal for travel, but hopefully amazing for those at-home gaming sessions!

Upgrade was worth it
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had gen 1 A50's for about 6-7 years before finally getting the upgrade and it has been worth it. My favorite thing is having the the headset shut off shortly after setting them down and then automatically turning back on when you pick them up. Battery life is much better, mic quality is very clear, and audio still get pretty loud. Plus, you can remove/replace the ear pads (thanks to magnets) if ya need. Appreciate that new feature. Range is also upgraded with these, which allow me to go anywhere in the house almost and still tune in to whatever I'm listening to. Wish there was more colors to choose from and miss the old style. But that's just me being a baby.

Best wireless headset on the market
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This version (compared to the previous gen3 that had green or blue colors) is the better version as it uses 2.4ghz instead of the previous gen using 5ghz. 5ghz is fine, but not when you live in an apartment complex with 5ghz wifi everywhere. The previous gen would have audio cut outs and disconnects for 1-2 seconds every 15-60 minutes. 2.4ghz is less susceptible to disconnects / interference. The range is solid too. Comfort is 10/10. Its a medium clamping force, so at first you might be afraid it will be too much but it won't cause head fatigue. Audio quality is great, plus having 3 EQ settings you can customize and save on the headset and then move to console with those saved on the headset is very nice.

Astro A50 Review
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Would've given it 5 Stars, however, recently it has been disconnecting from my Xbox Series X. Now this is simply fixed by removing the USB and plugging it back in. Super minor but paying $300.00 for the top headset on the market makes me want everything to be perfect. Sound quality is good and comfort is great. Wireless range is huge as well.

Heavy, dumb charging dock, great performance
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can definitely hear so much more playing COD and warzone. I have absolutely gotten easy kills I never would have without this because you can hear the direction of footsteps. In my opinion it is a tad heavy, at first my neck was a little strained wearing it and I have gotten used to it. If i play for a few hours my head will start to fatigue a bit. The dumbest thing they did with this is the charging dock. If both ear cups are not PERFECTLY on that thing then it will not charge its essentially useless I would much rather just plug it in to charge like a controller trust me. On the charging stand it looks great but at first I played two days in a row with this and it died I was so confused. Then realized when I was placing it to charge it wasn't exactly perfect and it never charged. It's very nice to flip the mic up to mute so that's great. Overall I have been told Astro is one of the top headset companies so that is why I chose over turtle beach. Also, Nicmercs has been running astro's for forever and swears by them so I took a wim of trust on that. All in all great headset you will definitely get a way better game experience. Also, you can easily adjust party chat and game chat on the side of the right earcup. Would recommend but beware of the heavy weight of it.

Astro Headphones
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this headset for almost a year. Use daily with my pc and it’s by far one of the best headphones I’ve purchased and owned. Recommend if you play games like Call of Duty as it can let you hear a lot more. They are comfortable and I love the base where you can set down and charge your headphones.

Great buy
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got two sets for my children and they absolutely love them. Connectivity was a little difficult. I had to watch YouTube video but once we got it loaded, excellent quality the speaker lift to mute amazing sensitivity over your ears. Amazing you can take out the cushions and they snap back in if you want to remove them move tight fit around your head, but not pressure. Great great bar.

A FANTASTIC Headset
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This headset is amazing. I’ll start with the comfort, it’s top notch. It’s had a very soft yet still firm cloth ear cups and headband. You can wear this headset for a LONG time before getting ear fatigue. I have a huge head I wear a size 8 hat and this headset fits amazing. The sound quality as well is just UNREAL. It’s so clear you Can hear people in FPS games behind you as if they are actually in the room with you. The setup is SO simple, the longest part of the set up is getting it out of the box. Last the battery life I got 17 hours out of it before having to charge it up. This headset it super high end and if you’re a serious gamer it will be worth it for sure

Best Wireless Headset I've owned
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This headset is a bit pricey but honestly I feel it is very worth the price. I can easily game for hours and feel completely comfortable the whole time. The battery lasts a long time. I don't think I have ever run out of battery using this headset. The sound is fantastic. So many audio options on the app on the computer. I love that you can't take off the earvuos and buy different ones from astro to put on. Overally this headset to me is unmatched. Pick this baby up!

Love them!
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fantastic comfort and sound. Love the ability to walk into the other room while streaming a show, without taking the controller. The equalizer is a little odd compared to other setups with just the game and chat volume controls.

Excellent at sale price, not for full price
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There are better headsets out there that cost less than or close to $300, but snag this if you see it on a good sale. This is the 4th iteration of the A50s. The quality of Astro has gone down since they were bought a few years ago, but these were a nice surprise. Astro actually listened and fixed the base station design issues they made for Generation 3. These feel, look (aside from color), and sound the same as Generation 3. The big upgrade comes from an actually dockable base station. The last few years Astro has been making “improvements” to the base stations, but they finally nailed it with this one. The headset is comfortable and lightweight. The battery lasts roughly 12-16 hours, realistically. The headset can be charged via the base station or a mini USB cable. This headset claims Dolby Atmos support, but don’t be fooled! It’s actually nothing built into the headset. It’s a download code for your Xbox/PC to “enable” Dolby Atmos for ANY stereo headset. If you follow Linus Tech Tips, they rested many headsets and debunked the ones labeled surround sound and/or Dolby Atmos.

A bit over-hyped
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The headset it good, but in my opinion, the performance doesn't match the price. The foam earcups get a bit warm after only a short while, and they feel a bit heavy on my head. The performance is good, but doesn't stand out enough to warrant almost $300. If you're looking for a PS4 headset, go with the Plantronics 800HS. I just went through the whole process of getting a new headset. Bought the Razer Nari Ultimate, Turtle Beach 700, Astro A50 and returned them all. Then, I bought the 800HS, and man these things are awesome. They are super-lightweight and comfortable, very durable, have an absolute superb battery, can be adjusted to fit big heads like mine, and the sound is incredible. The surround sound is top notch, and vertical audio really stands out on this headset. Also, you can adjust chat and game volume separately, which is one of the caveats I was looking for. I know some of the other headsets I mentioned have this option as well, but the Plantronics 800HS has them beat hands down. I'll say it again... GO WITH THE PLANTRONICS 800HS.

Great headset, possible defect in sound.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Comfort-5/5: these headphones were extremely comfortable because of the soft earcups. They fit very well with my glasses and the clamping force didn’t seem too tight at all but I have a smaller head. Connectivity-5/5: I did not have any issues with connectivity, I didn’t experience any dropouts in my short time with these headphones. Sound-3/5: I’m not sure if I got a defective pair or somehow missed an update but the soundstage for these headphones in stereo sounded way too wide. Everything sounded like I was in a big hall. Music sounded very drowned out by bass, bass pretty much drowned everything out. I know these are not meant for music but I would expect them to sound decent which they did not. I updated them using the pc application and it still sounded the same. I’ve had a similar issue with the Logitech g pro x headset so it could have been defective. Overall, the headset was great but couldn’t stand the wide soundstage. I am sure it was that particular headset but I ended up Returning them for the Audeze Penrose (which have yet to release but are essentially the hyper x orbit S without the head tracking). I would go back to the a50s though if the Penrose doesn’t work out for me.

Buy these right now. great Investment
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m in love with my headphones. Gaming is comfortable and just seemless with these. And of course them bring wireless is the perfect touch. Top notch comfort as well as quality sound for gameplay and streaming on my PS5. Only downside was the headband that detached pretty quickly after a few days but not enough to drop the overall expereice. Easy 5 stars!!!!!

Ok overall, but not worth the price tag.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picked up on 7/11/20. Disconnected twice requiring the base to be rebooted to correct the issue. -Comfortable, lightweight in comparison to my previous headset (HyperX Revolver). - Like the mic up to mute feature. - Microphone ok, at least no complaints from my teammates. - Ok range from the base station before it begins to cut out. - Game and chat audio balance control on the headset. - Customizable sound profiles - Can be short if you have a long head. - Requires a PC/MAC to update the firmware. - Aligning the headset to properly hit the charging pins can be tricker than it should be. - Bought these so I could clearly hear footsteps in COD Warzone, but it is rarely the case unfortunately. - Ears cups get warm after minutes. - Does not have an auxiliary port for use with other devices outside of the base. - Wall charger would be convenient especially for this price. - I don't feel it is worth the $300 price tag.

Best headset I've owned
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This headset is expensive, but it is by far the most comfortable headset I've ever owned. I play for up to 8 hours at a time and never experience fatigue from wearing them. I have never run out of battery life while playing. The sound quality is superb. I only play Call of Duty and you can hear the direction of the other player's footsteps easily. Creates a big advantage in the game. I know they're expensive, but if you have the money to get them, get them.
