Awesome headset
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had several wired headsets over the years and finally decided to get my first wireless set. I looked into a bunch of different brands and this is the one I landed on. The sound quality is awesome for gaming and just listening to music. The battery life is very impressive as well. I've used it for 6 hours straight and still had plenty of life left once I was done. Comfort wise, I can't even tell I'm wearing them. I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for a good wireless headset.

Gold standard of gaming headsets but FLAWED
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In short; these sound incredible and you CAN in fact update the firmware on the Xbox via the Astro Command center app. There you can also use the EQ to adjust the sound profiles. The battery lasts about 20 hours also which is good segway to the cons. The base station is barely an improvement over the gen 3 A50’s. The contacts are frustratingly difficult to have set once the headset is placed. The only other con i have is that just like gen 3 A50s, this one also tends to just randomly disconnect, not while in use, but when you’re done gaming with your gaming sesh for the time being, if you were to go back on a few hours later the same day or the next day, it’ll randomly just not be synced up properly where i constantly have to either reset the headset or switch the mode from Xbox to PC for a few moments and then switching it back to Xbox will it reconnect and sync properly.

My wallet hurts but my ears are happy.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I knocked a star off for the price tag. $300 is ridiculous. That being said.. huge upgrade from my Logitech g935. First and foremost. Docking station? Yes please. That's exactly what I want when I'm not wearing them. A nice place to store them, that also charges their batteries. I should never have to plug a USB cable into these things. Have these connected to my PC via SPDIF. They are extremely comfortable. The advanced Parametric EQ options are amazing. Also, I'm glad it doesn't use DTS for virtual surround. Using DTS in my g935's I could not hear footsteps in overwatch, so I left the headphones in stereo and used the Dolby Atmos option within the game. Now I can use dolby atmos with everything with the press of a button and I hear footsteps pretty clearly, though i may have some EQ tweaking to do yet. I hope these are the last pair of headphones I buy for a long time. FIrst impressions are, they're awesome.

great headset
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.upgraded from gen 3, and gen 2 before that (geek squad protection plan allows me to get it for no extra charge) this one is even more comfortable than both its previous models. love the all black sleekness. the base is smaller and way easier to charge. sounds barely noticeable and mic is better. sadly the old gen mod kit’s do not pair with this one. poor choice by astro but other than that no complaints. expensive but worth it if you have the money to make an investment that’ll last years and keep trading in for the next gen when it comes out.

Basic issues ruin an otherwise great headset
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Its alot of money to spend just for the top headband to constantly pop off. I literally have it tied down with a hair tie. Also, the headset struggles to connect to the baseplate when you turn it on. Sometimes it works, other times you gotta unplug the base deck from the Xbox. Recently ive had to reset the headset to even turn it on. Thats alot of basic issues for a $300 headset. Other than that, actual performance with respect to audio / microphone etc. Phenomenal. But come on...

Great battery life. Fits nice
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.great headset, for the money its expensive but it hace great audio and its comfortable for long gaming sessions. 1 full battery have lasted me a full day of gaming 10/13h depends how much volume and setting you are using. Thats why I put around 10/13h. I give it a 4/5 because chat and game volume could had been better. You cant tell how much volume you have to each which sometimes makes you press it too much and mute one or the other. Once you get over that issues and get used to it. The headset is awesome.

The best, hands down
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound these are able to produce is just nuts! The bass is almost overwhelming. When there is an explosion be prepared to have your skull rattled. I play with them much quieter that I normally for that reason. You can change all of this from the Astro command center app on your PC, I just haven’t done that yet. I have nothing bad to say about these. They sound amazing, they are comfortable, they look great, and the wireless connection has been flawless. If you have the money, just do it!

Great Headset
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very comfortable, I can wear them for hours with no discomfort. Sound is great. Fully charged they last for hours. My only issue is a weird ticking noise sometimes. You have to unplug the base and plug it back in to get rid of the noise.

Be Aware. Amazing headset
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.AMAZING HEADSET. It's a bit pricy but definitely worth it if you are into gaming. The only thing I do not like and the reason it doesn't get a 5 star rating is because you have to buy a separate HDMI adapter that does not coming with the headphones in order for the headset to work. When purchasing there should either be a sign or have the device next to it so people know there is a extra part that needs to be bought. Unlike what happened to me, I was trying to set up the headset at home and when looking at the instruction I see there is the adapter that I thought was missing from the packaging, but in fact when I did some research and looking at YouTube videos it is definitely another part you have to buy. Besides that this is a really good headset especially if you are into streaming.

All around great headset
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awesome headset. Original earpads are insanely comfortable. Fairly food at keeping unwanted sounds out. Sturdy all around and the headset itself looks amazing. The length mechanism is awesome, doesn't move unless you move it yourself. Only complaint I have is that I spent 15 min trying to figure out how to connect it to my PC since the directions booklet was telling me to download the wrong software (for the astro controller) figured it out by doing my own research.

Good for Pc
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works really well for PC. Used them on the xbox and for some reason my party could not hear me sometimes and would have to reset the headsets. Also the top foam piece keeps falling off and the plastic rests on your head eventually hurting. I think its a little to expensive for it to fall apart like that. My brother has the same ones and he said he just uses a zip tie to hold them. I guess I will be doing the same. Last thing is the dolby option for sound is only decent for music not good for gaming.

Great high end gaming headset.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second astro headset. My first was the a40 with mixamp pro which was amazing and still works, i just wanted to upgrade. This one works awsome as well. Battery life is good and they are comfortable. I only wish it had a removable battery so when the battery is a few years old it can swapped out instead of the whole headset. I bought the steelseries arcis pro with gamedac a week before this set and i did not like the sound more than these. I hear some prefer steelseries though so to each their own.
