I have always wanted to splurge and pick up a pair of Astro A50's. I finally did it and let me tell you, they are worth every penny! It's probably the most comfortable headset I've ever worn, the sound quality is great and the charging base station is amazing! I would highly recommend this headset to any avid gamer! If you've had your eyes on this headset too, pull the trigger. You won't regret it.

BEST HEADPIECE I HAVE EVER HAD. I absolutely love it. The noise cancelation feature is fantastic, and they are so comfortable. You can hear perfectly the details of the game steps, rain, etc. You feel like you are inside of the game.

Headset works great but the program it comes with doesn’t seems to want to pair with the headset. Other than that sound quality and comfortability are great.

The latest generation of these is great, base station is much smaller, and having them constantly charging when not wearing basically ends up meaning there's never a battery issue. Sound is great, mic is good (could be a little better but still clear and loud enough). Overall a bit pricey but there's not many other options that offer this feature set and none at a lower price.

The sound is good but you can get better headphones for the price. Also after a year some of the screws have fallen out and gotten lost so it’s basically falling apart unless I buy new screws. The battery is good it last for long sessions.

So I had purchased this new headset and the first ones 4th charging light indicator wouldn’t light up. I exchanged it and now the second ones base station had frozen and I unplug it and plug it in only for it to not turn on again. I’m going to return it until they get these issues figured out. Otherwise while I was able to use it it had the best sound I’ve heard in a hdmi f headset. Base station is more portable and easier to place the headset in than previous models. It also cut out less on the new frequency they are using. And Dolby Atmos rocks. Shame that such an expensive headset has quality control issues at release a few months later.

A little pricey but worth it, These headphones replace my old A50 Astros and are really nice, they are exactly what you expect from Astro. No more wires to plug in, just set them down on the base and they charge right back up. I have not put a clock on them to see how long a charge but they are more than sufficient for me.

I've tried these headphones on my Mac, PC, and TV, and it works great on all of them. The microphone quality is the best I have seen in any wireless headset. And because it is 2.4GHz wireless, the audio quality is amazing. In Dolby mode it sounds and feels like I'm in a theater. Super comfortable and lots of cool features that left me thoroughly impressed!

The comfort on this thing is amazing! Then to top it off, the sound quality on it is amazing as well. Now for $300, it definitely feels like a $300 headset, just upgraded from the A20 and these are definitely the better pair. If you're an avid gamer, or even just someone who works on zoom sessions and what not these will definitely be the pair to buy for work or play.

Last gen kept cutting out because of the 5Hz WiFi connection and I’m so glad that they fixed it with these! The software is easy to use and I like that they allow 2 platforms with 1 headset. The base also can also pass sound to speakers or even a sound bar for when you’re watching movies! Base is small and hardly takes any room up. Headset sometimes goes 2-3 days before needing to charge.

This headset is amazing! The only downfall is when I had a battery issue. Eventually even after being fully charged the headset would turn off and say it was entirely dead. I would reset the headset, update the software, and continued to have the issue. Other than that the headset itself was great. Maybe I got a defective headset.

This is my third pair of Astro headsets. My first wireless and it doesn’t disappoint. The equalizer download from Astro allows you to enhance your in game audio giving you an advantage over other players. The headphones are more on the expensive side but well worth it. The headphone base has connections for live streaming. Just a great product all around.

    A50...Not that Impressed

First impression, coming from a previous A50 gen 3 and A50 gen 1 ( still have), the A50 gen 4s are not really that impressive. They are the same feel and sound as the gen 3 and the gen 1, only difference is a better base station so you headset doesn’t stop charging. That the reason I went to TB Elite Pro 2’s previously. I even have the mod kit for the gen 3’s which did help inclose the sound and I tried to put them on the gen 4, they were soo close, like almost exact and Astro could have made them work wanted the extra money like $300 isn’t enough. now I have a completely useless mod kit that I have to re-buy for the gen 4 and spend more money. Comparing the Astro A50 gen 4 to the TB Elite Pro 2s, honestly I think the sound is crisper and cleaner on the Elite Pro 2s. Bass is a little less then the Astro’s but not too noticeable and the sound enclosure is better. Controls for volume and voice/game balance is better on the Astros along with the mute, flip up versus cord button. Also, if I want to change the sound mix on the A50’s, I have to hook them up to the computer to use the Astro Command Center where with the Elite Pro 2s I can do it straight from the Bluetooth connection with app on my phone. Which the Bluetooth is kinda nice if I want to take a call or listen to my own music while gaming. The cordless A50s versus the corded Elite Pro 2s is nice but I have to worry about charging but with a desktop setup, the one cord isn’t bad. Yes, the Elite Pro 2 is a little heavier and a little less comfortable but over its only slightly noticeable and not that big of a deal. Overall, I’ve been an Astro fan for a long time, since the gen 1s and not to big fan a Turtle Beach but after going to game after my Astro A50 gen 3s sat in the base station all night and the headphones were dead and then to the point that they wouldn’t charge at all, I decided to switch to the Turtle Beach Elite Pro 2s and not have to worry about charging. With the new Astro A50 gen 4s coming out with a new base station, V2 sound tuning and Dolby Atmos, I was really excited to get back to Astro but after a 3 hour gaming session on Apex Legends, I was really disappointed. The ear cups are stiff, the sound a little muffled/unclear (and I switched between the three equalizer settings and yes I connected them to the computer and updated the software for both the headset and base station) the sound just wasn’t very immersive even with the Dolby Atmos that I previously paid for. For less money, cleaner sound, no worries on charging, Bluetooth connectivity, better sound isolation, easier equalizer adjustment and custom made presets...I hate to say it but the Turtle Beach Elite Pro 2s are a better bang for your buck. I mean for $300, I expected more from the new A50s and that just tells me how good the Elite Pro 2s actually are. I’m going to give it a little more time but Astro may have lost a customer. Yes, there are many improvement that could be made to the TB Elite Pro 2s and even though some could have been made with the Astro gen 4s, I feel like they are the same regurgitation of the previous Astro A50 generations.

This headset has crisp and high definition audio, very comfortable and easy to adjust. The synch function can give me lots of issues at times where you turn on your console and the headset won’t have any voice chat or game audio because it didn’t synch to the console. You have to reset them and try switching between PC mode and the Xbox to get it to connect. Also to get them on the charger can be very complicated as well, you have to stand them up on the base station and it can take minutes to get them to start charging. You should be able to plug them in, while in use.

The headset works very well... on PS4 and PC. On PS5? No. You need an adapter for it that takes place of the hdmi port and basically takes away hdmi 2.1 as the adapter is hdmi 2.0. So if you just dropped $3,000 on a new OLED tv, don’t buy this headset. Now if you just have a PS4 or PC, then buy it! It’s so amazing! I reviewed the Xbox version and it’s the best headset I’ve ever used! I tried steel series, turtle beach, other astros like the A40’s, etc and this is the king of headsets. I’d recommend the mod kit as well if you have a wife and kids you want to tune out.
