I bought these for my PS5 and normally you'd have to buy a HDMI adapter to connect these to the console. However, you can connect them to Astro App on your computer and it can connect without it. The thing I did not like was needing the base. It takes up additional space on my desk.

I'm not really sure why you need that but in the same room, I know these won't disconnect. I've walked into other rooms while listening to music or on discord and I'm surprised at the range and how well people can hear me. These were also louder than the competition which is why I went with these and ended up returning the competition at the same price point. These come with simulated dolby atmos, I would highly recommend leaving that off as it gets really echoey and just let your computer handle the sound directly.

Astro is a great company and sent me a new one when mine broke but it broke in under a year I will probably not buy this again but it’s more personal preference

Sound is great, only thing we found is the top piece that sits on top of his head kept coming apart, so we had to improvise. Maybe they have fixed this issue, but im not sure.

It sounds great, works great, and I love the base station and charging solution. Its an incredible experience - while its working. Its been not even 2 months (of admittedly heavy usage) between work, gaming, and music/video consumption. The drivers have blown out a specific frequency causing robotic effects on most voices and some sounds.

The headband stood on for a good 2-3 months but then fell off shortly after and it's very irritating and a little painful without it on. The only fix to this is buying a support brace clamp off Amazon which is $11 and it comes with 2. The overall headset is pretty decent and I would recommend it as long as the buyer is very much aware of the headband issue and is willing to resolve that when that time comes.

When you put the headset down, it shuts off and saves power, although when you put it back on, the auto default volume level goes back to normal, which is annoying—only complaint.
