I have always had a problem with other headsets pressing my glasses against my ears and limiting my play time because of that irritation causing my ears to get sore. The Astro A50 luckily don't have this problem and now I can play for hours and don't have any problems with them pressing my ears against my glasses.

The best gaming headset that I ever heard in my life. Easy to set up you don’t need the Astro brick for the PS five. It’s plug and play and you can enhance it with the Astro website. Sounds incredible especially if you want this for call of duty you can hear foot steps clearly. I never realized how important audio was until I heard these for the first time.

These headsets are amazing! Super comfortable! I got them to use with my PS5 and my LG C1. Originally I also bought the HDMI adapter but I noticed that I was able to hook from the optical out Jack to the optical in back on the base station. Once I did that, I connected my base station to my soundbar by using the optical out Jack on my base station. Works perfectly!

Bought it open box but seen on YouTube that I was missing the HDMI converter thing and once I plugged that in, it was like surround sound. Took a while for me to get used to. It was crazy. But I love it especially for open box just was kinda dirty.

This is an excellent headset. It has greatly improved our ability to hear things that are trying to sneak up on us in Fallout 76. It also allows you to control the balance of chat channel to game channel with the touch of a button on the side of the headset. The mute feature is excellent. Raising the boom mic does mute the broadcasting of anything from the headset. It is not a completely easy set up and requires a little bit of adjusting time in order to get the full use of all of the features it offers.

Owned the Astro A40s and upgraded to this strictly for wireless use and I don’t regret it. The only complaint I have is the mic not being detachable but honestly is mic alone is great so their isn’t much need to upgrade it or anything like that, I still need to buy the mod kit for it but even as is it’s pretty great.

I am a new twitch streamer on xbox and have used the Arctis Steel Series 9x for about a year while playing. Having to play for long periods of time I was looking for a more comfortable option and decided to try a Astro A50 headset. I had heard great things about the A50s from the streamers I watch. The comfort was as advertised, very comfortable and the base station was sleek looking. The issues I had were with performance. When I tried to use them they were very quiet, even with the balance turned all the way to game. After some research I hooked them up to my PC and had to download an app from the Astro website to adjust the game and voice balance through that. Once it was almost all the way towards game the volume was loud enough (I like it pretty loud). This was in comparison to the Steel Series pair, which I paired to my xbox and then just adjusted the volume on the headset to what I liked. At that point I was disappointed but I still wanted to give them a chance. So I used them during a stream. The directional cues of footsteps were difficult to track, even with the Dolby Atmos subscription it came with set up. I figured, footsteps are very inconsistent, and this could have been a server related issue. So I continued for about an hour into my stream before I started getting comments about my voice sounding funny. After listening to a replay my voice I agreed that my voice was noticeably distorted, and switched back to my Steel Series. I returned the A50 the next day. All in all, if you're ok with the hassle of setting them up and don't mind your voice sounding distorted they are a viable headset option. My struggles with directional cues were over a one hour period and only tested in one game, that being said, I was disappointed with my experience with that as well. For me, the headset was far from justifying it's 300 dollar price tag, especially when my Steel Series are 100 dollars cheaper, perform a lot better, and are very easy to set up on both PC and console. Pros: Sleek looking Very comfortable Felt like it was high quality Cons: Performance was worse than a cheaper headset If it had cost $100 to $150, I may have kept them. I brought a backup pair of the Arctis headset instead.
