HDMI port stopped working in less than 2 month

I purchased this 2/5/2021 and one of the HDMI port stopped working today. I have tested with different cables and monitors. There is no physical damage that I can tell. It has been sitting on the table since I got it. Just trying to see if I can get a replacement.

Piece of Crap

I had purchased in 16-17 months ago, the device malfunctioned and fried the motherboard on my laptop that I purchase at the same time. This product sucks. I have never had a motherboard die the 20+ years that I've been using a computers.

In the case where the JCD543 is not being recognized/detected on the computer, there is troubleshooting that can be done. Do not buy this dock

It had dead ports out of the box. I know this because i have a dock and everything works. I exchanged for another, sometimes things slip through the cracks. 4 days later and it has already failed. I will be returning this. Best Buy needs to address the quality of the product, especially when there are so many better docks for similar money.

The triple display docking station has some specific requirements to get the full functionality out of it. This includes driver installation, and plugging it into a USB-C port that supports Display Port Alternate Mode. Too many issues

Posted .The Lenovo must for support PnP devices and some ports on the JCD543 requires drivers for HDMI/VGA and Mic only. Bad for MAC use long term

They require a driver download which can be problematic when working with a laptop provided by a job that has very high security restrictions. I have to return the one I purchased. Why not make it truly plug & play having all ports functional?

Posted .Unfortunately, the HDMI, VGA and Mic require an installation of a driver for proper functionality. Most Windows computers support MST and others don't. Mac does not support MST. Therefor, some of our Docks require drivers for the device to work on computers that do not support that feature. You may have to contact your IT department in order to see if they will allow you to install the software. Cordially, j5.

Posted .Hello, the Dock requires drivers and the computer needs to support DisplayPort Alt Mode for video output and Power Delivery for pass-through charge. No Battery - Keeps Freezing - Doesn't Charge Compu

Again, thanks Best buy!

Problems with Display

Connected the monitor to my Dell Laptop. It worked fine for couple of days. Then the display stared going off and I have to move the cursor to get it back. Later the display was going off even when I was working. So this started affecring my office work. Returning this today.

Posted .Compatibility with the newest M1 macs at this time is troublesome due to drivers not being available and we apologize for the inconvenience this is causing. If you are using an Intel based mac and are on Big Sur 11.1, we have drivers available and if interested, we can provide instructions for you. Either way, we recommend contacting the support team on the packaging in order to obtain install instructions or be placed on the "On-Hold" list and as soon as drivers are available for M1 macs, you will be notified.
