Was hoping this would replace my older USB docking station, but it worked on my new laptop, but on my work laptop, only 1 year old, it would not work. My older docking station had no problems.

Posted .The USB-C Triple Display Docking Station requires an available USB-C port that supports DisplayPort Alt Mode and USB Power Delivery 2.0 or 3.0. It will also require an installation of a driver for the VGA, Mic and stand alone HDMI port. It's possible the work computer may not support DP Alt Mode and USB PD 2.0 or 3.0, where as your new computer does. Please refer to the manufacturer of your hardware for more information on your device. Thank you.

Depending on the make and model of your computer, you may run into either incompatibility issues or limitations. Not worth the money

Thank you for sharing you feedback on the docking station. For the best display resolution a direct connection between your computer and your monitor will give you the best results. The 30 Hz refresh rate is a limitation on this dock. This dock does require a driver to be installed and that it is plugged into a USB-C port that supports display port alternate mode.

It did not work with my MacBook M1 per the company

Posted .Hello and thank you for your review on the JCD543. Depending on the operating system and what capabilities your computer has, the JCD543 may offer limited functionality. Because one of the HDMI ports on the JCD543 requires a feature called DP alt-mode/Thunderbolt 3 to output video signal via USB-C, these may not work if you computer lacks such capabilities. We're sorry to hear about your experience in not being able to work with your HP laptop. For technical difficulties with our products, we recommend reaching out to the support team on the packaging to speak with an agent and they will talk you through the setup process and in the case where it still does not work, we will offer an exchange or an alternative if necessary.
