Posted .For Mac users needing to add monitors to their set up; the JCD543 does the trick. It's unique design allows the user to connect Ethernet, peripherals i.e. mice, webcams, monitors, read SD cards and more all in one; we are glad to hear you got the device working as intended.

Solid solution

USB ports seem a bit less than stellar, and I wish they would stay powered when AC adapter is connected, but computer is not. Otherwise a very solid solution.

Docking station is not plug and play.

Since I don't have a router. I bought a USB-C ethernet adaptor to hook up my modem. Then I downloaded the driver and hooked up the docking station. I t works very well. You can hook the charger for the computer to the docking station. Then it powers the docking station and charges the computer. I hooked up a monitor and a DVD writer and two printers. Everything I have connected up to the docking station works perfectly. You almost need a docking station if you are connecting up hardware to your computer.

Can only get 1 additional monitor to work.

Posted .If your USB-C port doesn’t support DP Alt Mode, then multiple video outputs via the dock won’t function properly.
The dock requires one of the specified combinations (HDMI + VGA + DP or HDMI + VGA + HDMI), using the two HDMI ports and DisplayPort simultaneously is not be supported.
The VGA+HDMI (not the HDMI under the "OR") requires an installation of a driver. Drivers are located on j5create website under the "Support" tab.
If the dock is bus-powered (not using external power), or the laptop is not supplying enough bandwidth, some ports may not initialize properly for multiple displays. Use an external power adapter for the dock (if not already) and ensure the USB-C cable is securely connected.

HOWEVER, after 6 months of use, i started noticing connection issues. Seem like loose contacts causes the connected headphones to go in and out. Now the next connection to the printer has failed. Tested plugging peripherals into my computer directly - which works fine. So the issue is the docking station. Very disappointing for a device of this price category.

Not worth the money

Messaged manufacturer and they said they don't work for everyone, it depends on your computer. Well ok...so I used the HDMI and Vga to hook up my 2 monitors. I thought at this price point this would be great, but nope, it would constanly freeze up the monitors and I would have to unplug it from my laptop and replug it in. I had enough of that so I returned it today. Now to find something else that will work for me. My bad purchasing an expensive laptop that only has 2 usb-c's....

I had moved into an apartment to separate from the grandkids during the pandemic, and got a laptop/monitor/speakers/headphones etc. to use. As I moved back and forth with the laptop, was getting tedious to keep replugging everything in manually. Now, with this docking station, can just insert the one lightning cable into my laptop and voila, everything is connected. I did not buy the external power source (separate), and the station runs just fine off my laptop's power.
