Not Compatible With HP Omen 15

I recently needed a docking station for it and happened to be at my local store looking at all of the different options. This one seemed to be the best one and nothing on the box stated that it would not be compatible with my device. It wasn't until I had gone through about an hour of setup, troubleshooting, and research that I found out that this item would not be compatible with my laptop. J5Create needs to be a lot more clear in their product descriptions, Quick Start guides, and website to show what devices will and won't be compatible with this item. So disappointed. I will have to return this item and I will not be trusting this brand until they clear up this issue. Shame on you J5.

Posted .The USB-C Triple Display Docking Station requires that your HP Omen 15 supports an available USB-C port with DisplayPort Alt Mode and USB Power Delivery 2.0 or 3.0.Please refer to the manufacturer of your hardware for more information on your device
The Docking Station will also require an installation of a driver for the HDMI, VGA and Mic for proper functionality..

It gets very hot and periodically stops working, causing my mouse and keyboard to freeze or the external monitors to disconnect. I downloaded the driver from the j5create website, hopeful it might resolve the issue, but it didn't help. Overall, it works, but the periodic shut downs cause issues in productivity.

Would not recognize 2nd monitor

I followed the instructions in the manual to make sure it would work. This unit has 2 DP and 1 HDMI. One of the display ports would not recognize the second monitor. I moved cables from port to port and that 2nd port never picked up. I never even got a chance to use all three monitors.

Thank you for your feedback. I hope that I can clear up some of the difficulty that you are having with the docking station. If you are looking at the display outputs on the back of the docking station; the first two on the left are HDMI and DP. Only one of these two can be used at a time. Going to the right there is another HDMI port and a VGA port. Both of those can be used simultaneously together with one of the first two ports. If you have any further questions I would recommend that you contacting our customer service team. They can assist with troubleshooting or any other questions that you may have. Their contact information is on the product packaging and on our website under the ‘Support’ drop down.

I'm old school as I don't stream my music as I have a large music collection and have them all on an external hard drive and this makes it easy to have everything plugged in for easy access.

Easy to use docking station with my new iMac 24

Easy to download the software for Mac and easy to use. - just follow the instructions. Provides access for 13 separate functions. I may not need them all but it is good to know that they are there if I need them.

The JCD543 docking station is a great way to get all of your peripherals connected easily. Since it is designed for a laptop rest on top of it so the docking station does not take up much space in your work area.

I used it to set up nest for my laptop. Hooked up monitor, camera, Blue mic, mouse/ keyboard receiver , etc. keeps all wires tucked away nicely. Has discreet c- cable that connects to my laptops. Best in its class, as it can hook up up to three monitors. However, there are two hdmi outlets. Highly recommend this product!

THIS DOCK MEANT I COULD CONNECT TO A 32IN TV AND BOOM-- EXTRA LARGE MONITOR TO USE. ON TOP OF THAT, IT GIVES ME BACK THE USB PORTS I LOST WHEN I GOT MY NEW MACBOOK (THE NEW MODELS ONLY HAVE 2 USB-C AND AN AUDIO HEADPHONE JACK). It's made it easy for me to be able to use a wireless keyboard, better webcam, second monitor, and external speakers. All I have to do is plug in the USB-C to the laptop I need at the time, and I'm all set. I don't have to move anything else on my desk other than the laptop.
