The laptop I have only has two ports so .. so .. I needed something .. something .. I am not allowed to use wireless at work (security) and have to connect via Cat6. This does this I need multi monitors ? this helps , Need 5 monitors .. I'm out of luck . .Haha.. Great device worth the $ I spent to keep my hair .....

Not long after purchasing, the second monitor refused to work (HDMI). The monitor works fine connected directly to the laptop, so it's not the monitor. Switched to VGA which worked briefly, then stopped working. Plugging/unplugging, etc, sometimes works, sometimes not. Not happy with this device. At least one extra monitor works.

Happy to hear that it was easy to setup the docking station and that it is working great for you. To get the full functionality out of this device it does require drivers to be installed and to plug the USB C in to a port on your computer that supports display port alternate mode. It never has and now, after 5 mo, it has completely failed. I will be giving this to my wife to use on the WiFi with her local devices and I'll be spending the money for the real deal.

However, I've been using this thing now for several months. On windows the second screen locks up fairly often. I have to unplug and reconnect to fix the issue. On Mac typically only the first screen shows. There is a very specific way to install the drivers so they both show. Calling support will get you through this issue. Audio does not pass through for either mac or windows.
