Doesn’t support 2 monitors with 14” M1 MacBook Pro

Unfortunately, it doesn’t support 2 monitors with the new (2021) 14 inch M1 MacBook Pro nor audio only speakers (the jack seems to only work with wired headphones/mike combo). The manufacturer says ETA for a firmware update for the monitor issue is unknown at this time.

Posted .Hi Andy, We apologize for the misinformation in regards to the JCD543 requiring a power source. The JCD543 is bus-powered and once connected to the computer, it is able to function as intended; the power adapter is for charging your computer, if it supports pass through charging via USB-C; if the computer does not support charging via USB-C, it will not charge. Although the adapter is not necessary, it is recommended for ultimately providing more power to the dock as a whole. If you experience any issues or have any questions regarding your dock, please reach out to support and a rep will be more than happy to assist.

Not worth it.

Only able to run 1 display off this, no matter the resolution, PC and Mac tested. Not worth it. Just buy the OWC or Belkin docks if your main requirement is multiple displays. Even the new Lenovo is leaps and bounds over this one.
