Very happy with the unit, easy setup and great quality.

Easy to use, we got it almost a year ago and plays regular dvds as well as HD and Blu-ray disks no problem.

This player was easy enough to setup. It produces Very clean detailed video & audio even if Not hooked up to & set up for a 4K tv ! Plays UHD BlueRay of Fate & The Furious Great & makes my cd’s sound Great, Esp thru nice Sony ES/ Infinity audio system PS4 won’t play it or even play some cd’s Panasonic Works well with Netflix & YouTube. Only 4 stars: Doesn’t support Hulu & I can’t even find it in the online store to download it.. what’s up with that?!! PS4 streams Hulu & it’s Stars & HBO Hubs that I pay Xtra for...was really hoping for Panasonic player to at Least be a good back up, otherwise a great player.

I own the big brother to this unit, the DP-UB820 in my theater room and I love it. When my old Sony 4k player took a dump I replaced it with this on in my family room and I couldn't be happier. This looks better, and works better than the Sony ever did. If you still love spinning discs this is a great option. The picture and sound is always better in 4k on a 4k Blu-ray compared to streaming options.

The technical capabilities of this player are excellent. The video and audio quality are exactly what I was wanting. The number of settings available make it very compatible with whatever your home entertainment setup may be. However, my only criticism is that the user interface looks like it is from a 1990s CRT TV, blocky and plain.

This new player has a wonderful picture, and is easy to use. The UHD feature makes older video look better. I use this now more than my cable service.

Hooks up fast to internet. Great picture. Looks nice.

Easy set up - good picture - plays old DVDs and new HD Blue Rays

After upgrading to a new Sony 85 inch 4K tv figured it was the time to get a 4K Ultra HD BR player. Read a lot of reviews and narrowed it down to the Panasonic line as it has HDR/HDR+10 ability plus the HCX processor where you can fine tune the HDR picture which really adds some punch. It doesn't support Dolby Vision but for the price at BF this seems to fit the bill for me, may upgrade to the 820 model next year which does support DV, all in all very happy, 4K flicks look gorgeous! I will add I do not use it for streaming services so no comment there.

Looks and sounds great. Now has issues playing certain and random discs.

This player replaced an Oppo. It's 4K image is gorgeous on my Epson projector. There's a setting that optimizes it for projector use. It doesn't have the built-like-a-tank chassis that higher priced players have but it's video output is in the top tier. When compared to my Panasonic DP-UB820 player, it's more expensive cousin, all it lacks are a few features that have no impact on it's high-end image.

It's very simple to operate. It automatically switches the TV to what is playing, so no need to mess with input. I dislike the Netflix button on the remote but pushing the play button switches the TV back to what is playing on the player. Did not play a home-burned disc.

This player was purchased after our older DVD player was found to be incompatible with our new TV. It was easy to set up and has great picture quality.

Amazing picture, upscaling and sound- older dvds and blu-rays look great. I don't use the streaming apps. The drawer seems a little flimsy, maybe not the most robust choice for kid use.

I bought this UB420 for 149.99 plus tax. Which was a great deal. I looked at the UB820 also. Then I watched a youtube video on these products. I learned that they both had the same features but the only difference was that the UB820 had Dolby Vision and the UB420 didn't. But the UB420 does have HDR 10. I couldn't justify paying that much more for the UB820 just because of that reason. I don't regret buying the UB420 at all. It has great picture quality.
