I really love this panasonic blueray player it is 4k and it gives u the full 2160 4k resolution. Don't buy any other player, I tried like five didn't work like this one. Those other player say 4k but is up scaling and it's 1080p if u really want to get the best out of your TV and blueray player if u have a 4k TV is to buy a player that say full HD 2160p. Anything else u just wasting your money. This player is 2160p and the movies and pictures are jaw dropping. The only problem with the player is that is slow but u would love the quality and picture it come out of it.

I compared this to Sony X800M2 and this eked out on video quality. I compared it to older, high end gear like Oppo and Cambridge and this looked better. The 4k was super, but the 1080 up-conversion was jaw-dropping. I discovered it uses the same processors as the higher end 820 too so if you don't need all the extra stuff like different audio output, this is AMAAAAAZING value. There's nothing I know of better and better value at the time this player came out.

From VHS to DVD, and then on to Blu-ray, I have been a long time Panasonic fan. The best (tube) television I ever owned was a monster 32" Panasonic, and it was a great set. Now as I move into the 4K UHD realm, Panasonic is still an industry leader and a trusted brand. This 4K player is an excellent example of affordability, quality, and hopefully reliability that I have come to expect over the from Panasonic. To say that I like this player is an understatement. It does what I need it to do, and it does it well. Nice work Panasonic!

Excellent picture and sound for the price. Some online reviews said audio was not as good as other Panasonic 4k players. However, the manual states that using the HDMI out (audio) connection results in better sound than the HDMI out (audio/video) connection. Also, choose High Clarity Sound to further help increase sound quality.

Runs well and doesn't take long if it has to update, I'm really happy with it.

I purchased this player over the others due to the processor that is supposed to provide a better picture. This is the only 4K player I own, so I can't say if it's better than others, but it's a nice player. It will take a Blu-Ray disc and make it look beautiful on a 4K TV. The remote isn't overly complicated and the discs load fairly quickly. Overall, this is a great player for the money.

This is a great 4k blu-ray player with the usual Panasonic quality build and picture quality. The extra HDMI output to send audio to a receiver is a useful feature for me. The selection of available apps is disappointing but most people will use apps on smart tv. The other issue is the voice assistant talks super fast but this can be disabled in the menu. The wifi streaming is excellent and menu easy to navigate. Overall a great player, would be 5 Star rating minus above mentioned issues.

Awesome 4K player. Sound and picture quality are top notch and stunning. Have it connected to my Epson LS 11000 projector and it’s amazing. Love it.

Easy to set up, great picture, Has plenty of options.

I don't ever write reviews, but wanted to warn potential buyers to buy another brand. 3 year old unit with very minimal use that basically became a brick after latest firmware update. Unit just flashes red led light and is not responsive to anything. This has been over a several days and have given up at this point. Won't even open disc tray from remote or main unit controls, so you can lose a disc as an added bonus. Player is in an endless loop of trying to do firmware update that never finishes and you can't do anything with player or controls until it is done. Unplugging doesn't work. Factory reset won't work. Spent over an hour in chat trying to troubleshoot issue as well and told to send in for probably an expensive repair. Really? Your update bricked my player and I have to pay to repair it? Not doing it. This seems like this is very common issue based on what I have seen in different forums trying to troubleshoot issue. DP-UB420 had great reviews and wasn't cheap. Only has 1 year warranty and too much to spend for a couple years of use. Won't be buying anything Panasonic again.

So far so good. I did notice that the audio, when compared to my current older blu ray player, is amazingly improved. It does seem to improve my DVD's, but mostly it's nice to be able to play my 4K movies.

Terrific unit. Great picture. Easy to set up (but I did not like the voice instructions it defaulted to, and I quickly turned it off).

This is a very good unit, easy to install and to operate. I have had many Panasonic products in the past and player performs outstandingly.

So far so good. This is one of the best upconverting 4k players there is. Easily worth the price, especially on sale. The interface is very minimalist. I haven't used the streaming parts as our new Sony 75" has all the Android streaming services as does an attached Roku Ultra. The only interested thing is that the TV wants the unit plugged into HDMI 4, which on the Sony XBR900H is 2.1 compatible so I assume that the television knows that it can take advantage of the extra bandwidth. Not a problem, just interesting.

Simple to set up. Plugged it it and follow simple onscreen menu. So far works very well, great picture and sound.

Great UHD 4k Blu Ray play! Exceptionally sharp picture and great sound that pairs great with my Samsung S95B tv. No stuttering during playback. A great, cheaper alternative to the UB820 if your tv doesnt have Dolby Vision, which Samsung TVs dont.

I had to replace my old BluRay player and have had panasonic brand before, so i saw this model and i am realy happy with it. easy to set up and streaming is very good, so i can recommend this model.

I was a huge fan of Oppo. Their players are great and they produce audiophile quality units. Very disappointed they stopped making players. Them I beg as n reading about these Panasonic players. I was surprised on who light they were. Nothing to be afraid of. This bad boy can produce a great picture. Bluray look great. 4K is unbelievable. It gives the movie a depth I cannot describe. The Natural was my first 4K movie. It looks really good. Lots of different settings. I personally leave the default settings on. I paired this with a 55" LG Nano Cell.
