It also upscales DVDs and standard BluRays very nicely. It had plenty of tools to use and apps if you need to use it as your “smart” TV driver.

The remote is not so great and the streaming apps are slow to work .. so if you just want to watch a 4K blu ray this player will do the job very well

Great for 4K Blu-Ray & Hi-Res Audio

The apps are lacking now, like on most standalone devices such as this, but it handles 4K discs just fine. The dual hdmi (one video and audio/one just for audio) makes it flexible for installation.

It supports HDR10, HDR10+, and HLG high dynamic range formats, But NOT Dolby Vision. It upscales ordinary DVD and Blu-ray discs nicely. But, with all that being said, I chose it hoping that it will be more reliable and long-lived than comparable SONY 4K players. I have had bad experiences with SONY players in the past and an no longer willing to take a chance on another one. I will update if this Panasonic lets me down.

Picture is so bright, resolution is amazing. Works great with our TV even though it's not a 4k TV. It is 1080p. Highly recommend this item.
