Both the build quality and sound are flawless! Its a bit pricey, but well worth the premium.

The headphones are good quality compared to some of the others I have tried in the past. The reason I did not give it five stars is because it easily falls off my head, and I have had connectivity issues, but I have attributed that to having multiple Apple products. Overall the headphones have really good sound quality, and the battery life is great.

Bought for my daughter, but I did compare to my Sony WH-1000XM5 out of curiosity. These AirPod Max’s are a bit brighter and the sound stage feels more open. The AirPods sound very nice overall but lack some punch in the bass department.

I was on the fence about these headphones for a while after they came out. I already had the Bose NC700 headphones, so I didn't NEED new headphones, but I've fully drank the Apple kool-aid so the attraction was there. I finally broke down and purchased them. I used them for about 2 weeks including several cross country flights. In the end, I returned them to Best Buy as there just wasn't enough improvements there for the huge cost increase over the Bose. Pros: - Great sound. Really solid sound with great range. It's truly impressive. - Good Noise Cancelling. Works great, but really not better than the Bose. I like that Apple kept it simple and NC is either on or off. No annoying multiple levels like Bose or Sony. - Solid build. No plastics here. These things are built like a tank. - Great switching between Apple devices. I switched between an iPhone, iPad, Macbook, and AppleTV seemlessly. It made things so easy. Cons- - Heavy. That solid build I liked came with a big weight penalty. These were extremely heavy compared to the Bose and it bothered me after an hour or two of wear. Because of the weight, the headphone shifted often when I moved and I'd have to readjust them. Every time I grabbed the cans to readjust, I would hit one of the buttons and pause the music or turn off the noise cancelling. I could probably learn not to do this but over 2 weeks, I did this a lot. - Hot. The ear cushions were very comfortable. I thought they'd have more breathability than the faux leather on the Bose units, but I was wrong. My ears got very hot and sweaty after just a short time wearing them. I could see visible moisture in the cans when I took them off. This never happened with the Bose. - Case. The case is ridiculous. Seriously, it's embarrassing. It covers the cans, but I was constantly worried about the fabric on the headband tearing while in my backpack when travelling. I ended up buying a $30 case off Amazon to protect them better. Also, while in the Apple case, the low power mode only kicked in occasionally. A few times I went to bed with the headphones at 80% only to take them out the next morning at 20%. Really annoying. Just put a power button on it. - Cost. Even with a $50 discount while on sale, these are VERY expensive. Despite how much I liked the sound, NC, etc. They were just not worth $200 more than the Bose. Maybe gen 2 will have a lower price point and a workable case. I'd definately consider them again, but these ahd to go back for a refund.

My wife loved these. Hige fan of the color and appearance. I end up trying to steal from her diring workouts because of the impeccable sound in comparison to my Bose 700.

Best headphones I’ve ever had. I am new to the whole Apple ecosystem, but so far, I’m extremely pleased with these. I am quite the audiophile, so having a good pair of headphones is extremely important. They are very very comfortable, and the sound quality is quite good. I also really like the active noise cancellation, and the active listening is better than any other pair I’ve had with the same feature. Definitely recommend. They are very pricey, but very worth it. I just wish Apple would make it to where they go into low power mode, or have the option to turn them off without putting them in that awkward case.

Better than expected. Everything and more. Easy set up. Great sound. Noise cancellation is next level. Storage case is great. Holds a charge longer than any device I haver ever known.

Compared to existing and less expensive BT headphones: Pro: Ear cups are removable for cleaning. Device is tied to your Apple ID account. Con: Video streams randomly stop even when Automatic Head Detection is off and Spatial Audio isn’t setup. (It’s the AirPods because pressing the Digital Crown restarts the stream. AirPod Pros do the same but there’s no DC and the stream has to be restart from the display.) Squelching or sound from one ear cup, and difficulty reconnecting or syncing. There is a Connect To This Device feature that I’ve had to turn off due to owning multiple Apple devices with BT always on. I will go with a less “smart” headphone on my next purchase. I wish manufactures did more real world testing.

Own 3 pairs and I wear a different color to match my outfits . Love apple headphones !

im a huge fan of the Apple ecosystem, so this was an incredible addition to the family. The sound quality and the features I am able to manipulate are phenomenal. Far better than the beat by Dre’s I replaced in purchasing these. I love how immersed into the sound experience these headphones allow me to be. Almost as if I’m at the live recording of the song I am listening to

Fantastic fit, price is high but worth it, nice look

Excellent sounding wireless over the head, headphones! Apple got these right for almost all customers needs! In comparison with the competitors, sound equals, battery has been lasting better than marketed and better than my high end headsets/phones, microphone is excellent and beats equal priced competitors in sound and close noise reduction. Where I believe Apple could have increased value without increasing price, would have been to integrate more of apples touch features and a MagSafe wireless charging ability! Overall I really like this set of headphones but still think they could have been more competitive and to reach a greater customer base by reducing price or by adding existing innovative Apple features within the current price!

Love almost everything about these headphones. Best sound quality of any I owe (and I own most of the top end ones) Charge seems good although I haven't pushed that yet. Drawback is the weight. Very heavy. I wear them at the gym and have no problem with them falling off but for extended periods of use they would be too heavy. No problems with perspiration.

There amazing to work out with and get chores done around the house or even for work

This is a great product, amazing build quality, nice connectivity, brilliant sound quality and most importantly very very good looking. The only challenge for me was, it was putting a bit pressure on my eyeglasses due to it's heavy weight which was eventually putting pressure on my nose and hence had to return this. I would strongly recommend this to someone who does not use eyeglasses. `````````````````````

The AirPods Max (APM) have impressed me! Coming from Sony XM3s, I had high expectations since those were really great. There’s no competition here, APM are superior. I use these with my iPhone 12 Mini (also fantastic) and they are a dream. Quick and painless to pair. Sound is above Sony and Bose. You can really hear the separation with instruments, it’s unique and makes listening to older songs almost sound new again. Not using Apple’s special audio, even. Battery is fine! I get 20ish hours a charge and that’s with ANC on 90% of the time. No complaints. Transparency mode is incredible, really. With it on it almost seems like you don’t have headphones on. It sounds just as if you were in the room with someone. Would I buy again? Yes, without hesitation.

Noise cancellation is superb! In instnaces where you would like to concentrate or have some peace and quiet, these headphones are amazing! Now that there are discounts available, grab one, think later. :-) The fit is good, adjustments can be made. As for the surface of the item, I purchased a cover immediately. Connectivity to an iphone or ipad is easy and efficient. A fully charged battery can last 2.5 to 3 days for me with music and audiobooks listening.
