I AM NOT one to write reviews, but in this case, I'm writing one for Best Buy while I will also, if I can, write one for Apple. I actually purchased the Sony XM5s and the Bose QCs after losing my sony earbuds. After reading reviews of the Air Pods Max, I figured if I were to go a little more, I could see what these are about. First, if you're on the fence, DO IT! I've never, EVER had a headphone that sounds like a surround sound system in my head! The surround sound jazz relaxes me to a point where I haven't felt that relaxed in YEARS. You can literally hear every note as if you were on the front row!! When I first listened to these under the 8d sound, which can easily be found in Youtube, I literally could not speak, the sound was that clear, detailed and had that theatre-like quality. The Dolby Atmos, which can also be found on certain songs on Apple Music sounds really good, but there's nothing like the 8d sound, which I found on YouTube for a lot of songs to include jazz and classical. I was initially unsure due to the price, in fact, I literally thought it was ridiculous for me to spend that much on headphones. I'm reminded the upgrade is worth every-single-penny when I listen to these. What I really and truly appreciate the most is these headphones are not AT ALL as cumbersome to operate. The features on these are not at all touch-and-go, and it's the best quality I've, by far, ever experienced in my life!

Lovely sound cancellation and feel great on my ears and head! I have sensory issues, so just turning the soundproof mode on helps so much at work!

I purchased these for my daughter for her 20th Birthday. I had originally wanted them for myself as a Mother’s Day gift but I gave them to her instead. She said it has the best block out sound ever and it’s the best. She also said they’re heavy around the neck area when she puts them around her neck. Other than that They’re fantastic. Sorry no photos and she always have them around her neck and doesn’t like her mom (Me) lol to take photos.

Out of the box syncing was seamless - from unwrapping to listening in under 60 seconds. The sound quality is better than any I’ve ever owned. The isolation as well as the ambient awareness function flawlessly. The quality of the microphone while on a call is profession-level quality. I could not be happier with this purchase - and highly recommend if you’re already invested in the Apple ecosystem.

Being hearing impaired makes it hard to hear well. I saw some reviews from other impaired individuals and had to try for myself. Best purchase ever!! Same quality as my hearing aids but louder!

Wow! Pros: -Sound is phenomenal! -Ear pads are very comfortable. Can wear for long period of time. -Connection to iPhone/iPad was easy. -20 hour play time. -Noise-cancelling is top notch. When ANC is activated, outside noise is pretty non-existing. -Spatial Audio feature is awesome, especially when watching movies/videos. Cons: -A little heavy compared to competitors. -No adjustable equalizer in app. -Price can be a deal breaker. -The case is functional but doesn't provide much protection from dings and scratches. (Ended up ordering a travel case online) -Easy to hit the volume button while adjusting headphones. -In able to hard wire into something, will have to purchase a separate adapter/wire. -Although it comes with a lightning cord, wish it came with the power adapter. -Can't physically turn off, have to use the case which puts the unit in low power mode. I traded in a pair of earbuds from a competitor because there was issues out of the box. I'm glad I decided to invest in the Airpod Max. Not my first color pick, but the blue is growing on me. If you are an Apple user, these headphones are worth every penny!

Amazing sound wonderful battery life comfortable fitting.

I was thrilled to find these at a discounted price as an open box product. They looked brand new and have performed flawlessly. The sound quality is incredible, and they proved their worth during a 6-hour flight. Active noise cancellation was outstanding, and battery life was never an issue. If you're part of the Apple ecosystem and willing to invest, this is an excellent purchase. .

These are fantastic. The noise cancellation and transparency is best in class. The case is weak but I think Apple did that on purpose to scratch accessory makers’ backs. I have a pretty technical ear and the sound quality is very good. I can’t compare it to dedicated headphone amps with actual audiophile grade headphones but I think these are punching way above their price point (which is to say it’s competing with $800-$1000 headphones). Also note none of those higher end options offer the same feature set as these. All music sounds great, but some genres and artists seem to sound better and cross into another dimension. Electronic music sounds otherworldly (Feed Me is an example of an artist that sounds incredibly good on these headphones). I have been listening to a lot of liquid drum & bass on these. Complicated compositions shine - you can hear each element of the track separated beautifully. Soundstage is wide and you can hear details you wouldn’t notice otherwise. When you find the right music and hit the noise cancellation, these really are an escape pod into another universe. That “Journey Into Sound” commercial is pretty much a dramatic example of what it’s like to use these. They transport you from reality. They are easy and satisfying to use. The build quality and finish is phenomenal. If you’re a casual music listener and don’t like to have long listening sessions then these may not be for you. If you don’t have any Apple devices that will work with these then you won’t get all the benefits but will still probably enjoy them, you may be better off with Sony or Bose. If you are the kind of person who loves to sit back on a day off and lose yourself in an album or a mix then you will adore these. Spatial audio is mind blowing but that’s just the cherry on top. These are a lovely personal listening device. If it’s in your budget and music is important to you then you won’t regret buying these.

I love the headphones, great sound and great color.

First off, I purchased these the Apple store because I had a deep discount (almost half off) ,it took me about two weeks to pull the trigger but,I decided to go ahead and so far no regrets,I listen to everything rock,metal,R&B,blues,country (some), and some rap. When I got these home and the first thing you notice is like always Apple has the most premium packing than anyone and as I opened the box I like everyone who have a pair was greeted by “The Bra” and I knew I would purchase a hard shell case (I did) ,I pulled them out and my phone synced like they were old friends so I said “since you guys have met,let’s see what you can do to become my friend and put them on,if you want to hear pure beauty put the on and listen to Mistral Wind by Heart, I was floored so I started going through my old school catalog EWF,Pink Floyd “Echoes” and was not disappointed. There those who’ll say these are on the heavy side,I don’t plan to use these while working out,the weight is no problem with me,the quality is top notch and I’m hoping that they will last a long time,because I like the appearance in the fact that they’re slim and do not look like a martian when wearing them.There will be those haters who will complain that “you spent that much for headphones “,there’s more expensive headphones out there and besides I spent my own money so get over it, I give these 5 Stars because they’re that good ,the build quality and my number one reason is because Bestbuy’s price, I see Bestbuy also has accessories for them and I purchased accessories for mine, If you can afford these and want them buy them you may love them.

I've had to go through one pair of these headphones, unfortunately they stopped connected and had to get replaced to a new pair. I only used them at home and were very careful using them, never got an answer on what was the issue on connection. As side from this issue, these headphones are premium inside and outside with both the sound quality and also the materials used. I personally use them only at home and for studying and movie watching, they are really enjoyable and you feel the music at a deeper level. For glasses wearers, they can get a bit uncomfortable and you might need to adjust them from time to time to get the right fit. I had to buy a third party case and protectors for the metal earcups to avoid them clanking on each other however before them, I did not notice any wear of them hitting each other. Given the high price tag and the cost of sending them for repair if something goes wrong, around $300, I'd highly recommend getting applecare just in case. Overall, they are premium headphones and as long as you take care of them, I'd imagine they'd last for years to come.
