They were really great love these headphones sound the quality the volume and great product never had an issue like all my other apple products I have gotten at Best Buy that I’ve own for years.

I love taking these when I go on trips. It keeps outside sounds from coming through. Music and podcasts come in crystal clear and the charge lasts a very long time.

Great fit, great sound, great look and my wife loves them.

I know the better headphones you pay for, the better sound you get, but I truly didn’t realize how much I was missing. Using these to go back and listen to favorites to hear how full the production on songs truly is to noise canceling with the immersive Spatial Audio and watching movies is almost as good as being at a big theater. I can’t recommend them enough, they’re comfortable and will give exactly what you’re listening for.

One of the best headphones out there, definitely worth the purchase

I bought these due to some international travel. I tend to use my AirPods Pro 1st gen, but on long trips with an in-seat screen, the Pros become a bit uncomfortable, need recharging, and I can't use with the in-seat entertainment without a bluetooth adapter. Enter AirPods max where I can get trip-length battery, comfort, and the ability to wire in to a headphone jack and maintain the active noise cancelling (reason I chose these over the newer USB-C option). This are not yet my everyday choice, but I use them walking around the house, for work, and 10000% for travel.

Honestly, I can full heartedly suggest you buy the AirPods Max. Quality of materials is insanely good for what you're paying for. A lot of manufacturers opt for cheaper materials in order to save cost as well as weight in this category. I get it, when it comes to the weight aspect, but in terms of durability, if you're spending $500 on headphones, I fully expect metal, if not a high quality wood exterior. They're closed backs, and yes, a lot of audiophiles would cringe at the audio processing on board as they want that untouched sound, but honestly, for the average listener, they're astoundingly good. The bass is impactful yet tight, vocals are clear and light, it's just... balanced. You would be hard pressed to get these drivers to distort when listening to them. Plus, if you're in the Apple Ecosystem, you should absolutely get them. My only suggestion and gripe is that you get a third party case as well as covers for each headphone in addition to the headset. The cups love to touch when you move them around, which probably will scratch over time. Additionally, the included "case" is just not that great. Sorry Apple, I have to say the case is a bad design. Fantastic product though!

You see the cost and wonder... what could make a set of cans worth so much money if they aren't being used for music production. Listen.. As a music producer, I can say who works within a Mac ecosystem, Apple has NAILED it here. The Look, The Feel, and. the Performace combine to make these the best set of cans I've owned outside of my pro gear. There's a spatial depth that is really difficult to appreciate until you're watching a film with these on, or listening to one of your favorite tracks on repeat, especially if you appreciate music with layered vocals. These are designed to allow for an "interactive" experience with whatever you're listening to, while offering the ability to completely shut out the world around you or to pleasantly allow just. enough in (working from home with kids, you want both options). I thought I was going to wait for the next iteration but am really happy that I pulled the trigger. Well done Apple. Well done.

Best headphones that I’ve ever owned. They’re great at blocking out noise and the sound is unreal with these headphones. I bought them for my daughter who has autism and it helps her so much to block out noise and also to listen to music when she needs sensory input.

They sound quality, the weight of the material, the pretty pink and red colors overall is phenomenal. The sale price definitely made it worth getting as it as about $80 cheaper from the actual Apple Store. I love these headphones a lot and it’s actually my first over the head pair. The green is also a really pretty color too but I am a sucker for pink,

Do not purchase these in the silver/white colorway. Unless you religiously clean them (which is a hassle) they will grow dingy with time. I've never had a problem throwing the ear cups in the wash, and carefully scrubbing the headband with detergent and water, but they will not stay proper white forever and you'll wish you bought Space Grey. If you're worried about the charging case thing, don't. I bought these and immediately threw it away. Reviews when I first bought the Max made it sound like this was some integral part of the headphones - it's not. I've never put them in that case once. I have had no issues with battery life just letting them be outside of the case. They don't take long to charge, and in the rare event they should get to critically low battery just set them to charge somewhere for an hour and they'll be back to nearly full power. The sound is great - incredibly clear, and enjoyable. Because they're wireless there's a cap on how good the audio quality you'll get from these is, but as far as wireless, convenient set-ups go it's really great. Apple made a big fuss about how easy they are to switch between Apple products but it's not quite as simple as you'd expect. They work great with the iPhone - pair them to the phone and they'll usually switch right over but: Your Macbook/iMac products will detect when the Airpods Max are close by, and tell you "nearby" but will require you to click to switch them over. This doesn't always happen on the first try and can require some finagling to get them to actually connect which can be a minor inconvenience that gets more frustrating over time. Additionally they tend to want to switch back to the iPhone, so if you're listening to audio from your Apple computer but accidentally trigger some sound on your iPhone you will lose connection and have to reconnect. I recognize these are distinctly first world, not-enough-to-complain about problems. The noise cancelling is actually shocking at first. Blocks out almost all the noise you could hope for and maybe a little more. Works great as a headset for phone calls and Zoom meetings but the aesthetic takes some getting used to - it's like having two aluminum bars of soap on either side of your head. Microphone quality is fine - pretty clear but you wouldn't record a podcast on it. That said, there is also a passthrough mode that uses microphones to essentially pipe in the outside audio as a means to let you hear what's going on around you, and participate, while keeping the headphones on. This is sort of handy, but most people will not engage with you because you have headphones on, and because these things are big it sends a pretty clear social message that you cannot hear, so the in real life usefulness of the passthrough for conversation is suspect at best. Sure, you can explain that "oh yes, I can hear you there's actually a setting..." but at that point just take the things off. The "head detection" is nifty. The inside of the cups have little detectors that can tell when your ear is inside and will turn the headphones on/off and pause your media as a result. This is tricky if you're trying to use them with only one ear to remain present in a room you're in as it will occasionally cut off audio because it thinks you're not listening. Prior to these I was using the Bose QC35ii headphones. These were an improvement on audio, and build quality. These are very expensive headphones. They feel expensive, but are they *really* worth $600 after tax? No, not really. Overall the audio/build quality doesn't justify the $300 price jump from similar models. If you like Apple, you'll like these, but next time I'll probably opt for a pair of headphones focused exclusively on audio quality.

I decided to make this review months after purchase because you really never know what you’re buying into until you get use out of it. First of all, amazing noise cancellation. Perfect for working out or being in loud environments. I use these bad boys during study time in a mild to noisy environment and the AirPods Max completely drowns out the sound. Not to mention they’re super comfortable and the battery lasts me the entire day sometimes even 3 with continuous use. They’re easily washable as the ear pieces detach and they’re size friendly (for all my big headed friends, lol). Totally worth the purchase and almost a year in they still function just as they did the day I bought them.
