I asked a best buy crew member were I could find a cord that let me plug my tablet into the hdmi port of my tv and this is what he showed me. When I went back to the store to return it I talked to the gentleman at the Samsung section who instantly showed me the right cord I needed.

If you need something for a similar use I recommend using a higher quality cable.

If I had opened this in the store I would have seen that the mini end was millimeters wider than the slots on my tablet and cell phone. Guess this is more for Apple than android.

It took me a day or two to figure out the "intermittent" problem and after having purchased another monitor and switching out another laptop, then purchasing another of the stupid cables I figured out it was the cable. Since then I have ordered a Monster product online from another vendor.

Sadly, neither cable worked. At the time I thought the goggles were to blame, but I took them to an electronics store and tested them in-shop with one of their cables and everything worked. The Insignia cable just isn't up to the task.
