Excellent auxillary source of AC. We use this upstairs as many folks say that regular AC was not cool enough up there. The Insignia unit seems to work great. Very easy to install.

We bought this unit for our dog house. Yes, our (6'x8') doghouse. It works great and keeps the doghouse cool for our two large dogs. The real reason we selected this unit was for it's portability. During hurricane Isiasas we lost power and had to use our generator to power our house during a power outage that lasted 18 hours. Although the layout of our home is a lot more open space than the unit is rated for the unit kept us cool enough to survive without complaining about it being to hot and humid in the house.

Was concerned about the “open box” status while ordering but took a chance on a great deal. When it arrived, it wasn’t pretty. That box was definitely “opened” Lol. The packaging was ugly and ripped and falling apart, barely held together with a couple strips of tape. I was very nervous to see inside. But… The contents inside were in perfect, new condition! All parts were there and very easy to install! Unit works like a dream! Very happy with my purchase!

I needed a portable ac unit in a pinch, it was the hottest day of the year ( to me anyways) and our ac went out. After two days of suffering, I did my research and went to Best Buy to pick this one up. It was easy to assemble, and cooled down our bedroom quickly. We finally got a good nights sleep!

This thing gets pretty cold. However it is pretty loud. Like really loud, kinda sounding like it’s vibrating.

This portable AC is money WELL SPENT! Heat rises. Upstairs is not as cool as downstairs, and bedroom was a little stuffy for sleeping, even with fans. There is a huge difference for sleeping! Dryer-looking vent attaches to window for venting, but it's not really an issue. Plus you don't have an eyesore window A/C unit hanging outside the house. But it's the actual coolness we like the most. It's on wheels and rolls, so all in all very convenient.

Used a few hours as this is written. I works really well so far. If used on carpet it sinks down, so plan ahead to access drain plug. Petite users will have trouble lifting up/down stairs, as it is kinda heavy. It rolls easily. Weather stripping included is okay, but you will probably want more substantial insulation for the window.

I bought this ac unit October 2024 as a back up for hurricane season. Luckily we didnt get hit this year with a hurricane and didnt have to use the ac unit. However, we decided to take this ac unit camping last week and we used it in our CAMP tent that's 10x8 and it's attached to our SUV. The portable ac unit worked great. I put it at 70°F and we were cold all weekwend in the FLORIDA HEAT. I definitely recommend this portable ac unit.

Works very well. Wish the hose was longer but it is easy to maneuver from room to room if needed. The settings are great

This was on sale and I grabbed it. It arrived in good shape for the most part, and so far seems to work pretty well. It's in an approx 10x12 bedroom and it cools the room fairly quickly. Oddly enough, I find that the "dry" mode cools faster and colder than the "cooling" settings, almost to the point where it's too cold. I guess it's humid around here =). Anyway, worth it especially at the $249 sale price.

This air conditioner is great - no having to lift a heavy unit to put in a window, no damage to your windows from drainage. Easy to set up and can be moved to other rooms easily. We have 5 of these and they cool our entire upstairs with no issues.

This portable ac unit gave us the cold chilly boost we needed for our bedroom with smaller than standard windows. The water collector fills up slowly so no need to constantly empty it. It comes with a remote which is a nice benefit.

The unit does a very good job in the room I have it. It might be a bit oversized for the space (which is smaller than 300 sq ft). It is reasonably quiet, was easy to put together the pieces, and installed pretty easily. The included window/spacers work well. I needed to handle a vertical opening. So far (a couple months) it has held up well. The hot season is pretty much over, so I'll see how it stores.

My AC unit had been going out for several days at a time due to antifreeze leakage. I use this unit in an upstairs master bedroom during those times. It is a large room but the unit was able to cool it down quickly and even branch out into other rooms. It was easy to install, i didn't even use the instructions. now I use this at night so that we don't have the home unit running.

My husband and I love this but wish the plastic pieces for the vent were longer. Over all it has served the purpose well of cooling down our living room.

Works great! Cools the room well and is somewhat loud but you get used to it while sleeping.

Our home AC went out (evaporator coils needed replacing) and long story short, due to COVID shortages, no parts were available for 5 weeks. We live in south Texas, this 5 week episode lasted from mid May to June. It was hot. And it was humid. We bought two of these units to keep us cool during the 5 weeks. Work excellent, better than what we expected. Not sure why people complain about noise. We slept well with them on.

I bought this unit for my parents and they’ve absolutely loved it. It’s easy to roll from one room to another, and it’s very small! We were concerned about the noise but when we had it at full blast, it was so minimal. It was like having a regular fan on; could barely hear the A/C compressor. All in all, it’s a very nice, well built product!

I got the 300 sqft model for a pretty significant discount on a one-day sale and I will say that it is a good unit and probably worth what I ended up paying for it, but it might not be quite as good as other units. I transfer it between 2 small rooms, the largest being probably about 150 sqft, so it definitely cools the rooms, but the minor issues are that the remote does not always work the first time, and the thermostat is consistently about 3-4 degrees lower than the actual room temperature. So if I want my room to be 70-71 degrees, I have to set the AC unit to 67. Certainly not a big deal and would not prevent me from recommending this to others. Also, as my windows are a little wider than usual, I had to use one of the extensions, which almost made the exhaust vent plate too wide, but it just fits with the hose attached, so all good there. I will also mention that as I live in a high humidity environment (consistently around 75%), I do need to empty the water out of the bottom of the unit fairly frequently. This is easily done by removing the drain plug at the bottom.
