It works well keeping the area we were living cool and comfortable. I would recommend everyone to have one, In case your air-condtioner is down, or you just want to keep an area cooler.

Our window ACs would struggle in the heat of the afternoon, but the Insignia portable AC unit, situated indoors, functions just fine. Easy to install and run.

As others have stated, it is a bit noisy but I have gotten used to it already. I live in a one bedroom apartment and close all windows before turning on the AC and it does cool down the apartment.

I am very pleased with my purchase of this air conditioner. It was easy to install and it works as u would expect it. I read some reviews that claimed that it was too loud, but it is fine with me. Helps me sleep better.

This Insignia 300 Sq Ft Portable Air Conditioner is GREAT. It keeps the room it is in very cool, in fact I think it is more then what I needed but the extra cooling can't be bad. I'm unable to comment on reliability at this time because I've only had it a few weeks so I'll follow up with that later.

Perfect to keep our bedroom chilly at night leaving the rest of the house cool. Super easy to set up.

It is noisy, that’s given and expected from a portable AC. But what annoyed me more is how the compressor shuts off every 2-3 minutes without cooling the room and then restarts. Happens all night and it gets difficult not to wake up with the sound. Eventually, it does cool the room at the set temp. Otherwise, it is cleanly built, have wheels to move it around and looks nice.

We bought this unit to cool a 300sq ft. Bedroom. It is a rather noisy unit, just about as loud as a window unit which is what we wanted to avoid. Installation was fairly simple with the most difficulty coming from installing the foam, and the security bracket. Defective - we set up this unit according to the instructions. After letting it run for two nights while remaining off during the day, it did cool the room, but at a price. After moving the unit aside we noticed that it had drained enough water to soak our original hardwood floors causing them to swell and ruin. We checked the instructions about the water building up and no indication was given that it needed any additional setup to keep water from spilling into the floor. We set the AC on a large baking sheet and ran it for an hour and it pooled with approx. 6oz of water. There was supposed to be an alarm that should sound if the reservoir filled up to capacity after using the dehumidifier but we were using the “cool” feather, and the alarm never sounded. Instead water just leaked and poured from the base of the unit around the wheels and any holes on the bottom. We now are going to have to either sand and refinish our hardwood floors, or carpet the bedroom to cover the ruined spot. Immediately returned and bought the 300Sq. ft. GE unit. Same price, smaller/lighter, quieter, and seems to cool better.

This air conditioner gets really cold it has a remote control and did a wonderful job cooling our room. I would say it was colder than our central air.

It was what we needed, something we could roll in when wanted air circulation and cooling. Easy enough to pickup and move to garage when not needed.

Good investment to keep me cool in my upper floor apartment for the upcoming summer months. A little loud, but still worth it.

Heavy and very loud for a bedroom use. Otherwise, cools down a room quickly. Included kit for vent is not very easy to install

Works to keep my livingroom comfortable during spikes in temperature. Single hose design does need an insulating sock. I put on a 6" sock and the hose went from 115F to room temperature, so bulk of the het transfer is now going out the window and not warming the room. Satisfied with the purchase, setup in a narrow double hung window, and I can move it to the office if I want.

This portable air conditioner is easy to set up and blows really cool air. The vents are wonderful as you can move them to a comfortable air flow. We took this camping in 110 heat and it kept us comfortable.

Very satisfied using this portable conditioner on a bedroom. The price is good especially when it's on sale, compare to other vendors. It's a bit noisy but sort of expected.
