It was a real life saver for me and my dogs in the heat this last month here in Colorado. Our a/c unit in our apartment has been out for 2 1/2 months and this sorry excuse for a complex hasn't repaired it. So, I was forced to purchase a unit myself.

For Small Room

Didn't do too much in an open living room but once moved into bedroom it was amazing with the door closed. My apartment is about 600 Sf so it needs to be in a room you can close off.

Not worth it --- buy at your own risk

It leaks constantly, even when I drain it daily. It makes a loud rattling sound. It has difficulty cooling even my small apartment bedroom. To make matters worse, I purchased a protection plan that requires I ship it somewhere to have it fixed, which will take a month in the middle of summer. Unfortunately, I don't plan to ever make a purchase from Best Buy again, given how bad the customer service is, how much of a scam the protection plan is, and how low-quality this device is. I have had much better help from Home Depot. Go there.
