It is an LG and looks almost identical, although was somewhat more expensive and covered a smaller square footage. After seeing such great reviews on this, and having faith in the Best Buy brand and customer experience they’ve provided me with in the past, I thought it would do just as great of a job as my other LG unit, if not better. I was also very pleased with the price it was set at. The heat is coming in CA and needed it in my home office. Needless to say, after setting the whole thing up, and using it for the past week, I am less than impressed. I have used several other window ac units in my past experience and in previous apartments I’ve lived in - never once have I had them turn out this way. The coolant in this is extremely harsh and has been burning my lungs - again, I’ve never experienced this before with a portable ac. The air it blows also does not cool the room. It is only cold when you stand directly in front of it, or when it blows directly on you. And the room I’m using it in is only 200 sq feet, so it should be working completely fine (given the description of the product). Definitely a bummer considering it’s not overly healthy to have coolant chilled air blowing directly on your face for several hours a day, day after day. I’m really bummed because I was looking forward to this working great for the summer and now am uncertain of what to do. Does anyone have recommendations on other makers that have served them well? The LG unit is too expensive for me to purchase another of the same kind. I was hoping to make this one work, but even in only 80 degree weather, it barely seems to be serving it’s purpose. I’m not sure where all these 4 and 5 star reviews are surfacing from!

Loud and not that cool

I have a room that is about 200 sq ft and I expected it to cool it down at night easily. Takes a while to cool and also it is very loud. The compressor kicking on and off wakes me up.

Not as powerful as other similarly priced AC units (cooling impact was diminished at 90+ temps) and cleaning/emptying the water is cumbersome but not any more than other portable AC units.

Upon putting the item together and using it I quickly discovered I needed a more advanced timer such as one that did not need you to set it EVERY DAY manually!!! I was tempted to return it but it would have been too much at this point. So anyone considering this item if you don't want to set this thing manually every day to cool your room down get the one that has a wifi timer with it.

The device is much small than anticipated as well as it comes with adhesive pads to help secure the vent to the window which is very appreciated. Additionally it comes with extra foam to help seal off any additional openings. Great product
