The floor unit works perfect for the room it's in! Cools the room quickly and efficient. Would have given it a 5 stars, but the exhaust hose gets really warm.

The AC went out in our upstairs condo in the early spring. While we wait for the new unit (harder to find these days) we needed something to keep the place under 78 degrees. We knew the Insignia was cheaper than others, which was important since we hope to have central AC back soon. Because of this, we were especially happy with the quality. It's fairly quiet, pumps out a good volume of air, and the attachments aren't as flimsy as others. Sure, it won't cool all 1100 square feet, but the living room is finally acceptable. As a bonus, the dehumidifying is exceptional. It pulled over a gallon of water in its first 8 hours of use. The remote is fairly straight forward and has a feature to check the temperature from where you're sitting. It's an excellent buy, especially if you're in a jam.

Works great. Really helps until we can afford more insulation and possibly a new ac. I did buy a large disposable baking sheet to place under it because it leaks at the bottom. I would've returned it for another one, but we really need it right now. I do recommend it, leak and all. I just use a towel and soak up the water from the pan occasionally. The drain barely has anything as a result.

It's a little bit heavy, but it cools extremely well and is relatively easy to set up. Definitely easier than a window unit. The automatic shut off for the water drip pan is also a great feature, if you are unable to set it near a drain.

Great ac unit for my garage, especially during the hot summers! I work in my garage and do carpentry and work on my car so it’s very helpful and a big game changer and makes working during the heat bearable. I definitely recommend to any and everybody!

Great room air conditioner. The window exhaust kit was easily the best quality and easiest to install of any I have worked with. Every window kit I have used in the past was difficult to keep in the window unless you mounted it to the window frame. This one took less than 2 minutes to configure, felt very secure in the window without mounting, and has remained secure with zero adjustments since the original installation. This air conditioner has worked significantly better than other units with the same BTU. The follow-me feature of the remote is a huge plus. It gives you the option of using the remote as the thermostat rather than a sensor mounted on the unit. The only strange thing is the water tank never accumulates any condensation.

This AC unit works remarkably well! We had an older model of AC unit that just couldn't reduce the heat in my bedroom but this thing literally made my room too cold in SE Tennessee!! In a 100 year old house! Quite extraordinary.

This air conditioner is great for my master bedroom. I really like that it has different settings and a remote. I minus one star because when I use the remote it changes the settings on the a.c an I can’t adjust it with remote I physically have to do it. So I only use the remote to turn on n off the air conditioner. Otherwise it’s great. A little noisy but I expect all air conditioners to be noisy so no problem for me. I’m unsure if I am just not using remote correctly or it’s just weird but that’s my only problem with the a.c

    Works as Described

Bought this product to beat the heat during the summer months and it has really helped. However, this is a warning to those who expect this product to cool your ENTIRE home. When they say 350 Sq. Ft. they mean it. We installed it in our living room (largest space in our 800 Sq. Ft. home) and it does a great job cooling that area, but it doesn’t really extend beyond there. It does cool the overall temperature of the rooms just off the living room, but not enough to be effective. So again, if you want to have a specific room to be cooled off, this is the product to get. In terms of installation, we have a side to side window, so it was kind of a pain. The thin grey sticky strips they provide are not the best quality and tore the moment we tried closing the window, to test if that was even possible in case it rained and the window needed to be closed. We ended up using the non sticky foam strips to insulate as best we could and called it a day.

Quality portable AC unit for the price

This is a really good little portable AC unit, especially for the price. I bought it to replace a 12,000 BTU unit, and this does nearly as good of a job as my old unit that was twice the size. The window insert is high quality and seals off heat better than my previous unit, as well. These are always going to be noisy since they run indoors, but it gets the job done in 100 F degree heat outside.

Thank you for sharing your feedback on the Insignia™ 350 Sq. Ft. Portable Air Conditioner. We're glad to hear that it has met your expectations, especially in terms of performance and quality relative to its price point. It's great to know that the window insert effectively seals off heat, enhancing its overall efficiency. As you've mentioned, noise can be a factor with portable units, but it's encouraging to hear that it remains effective in high-temperature conditions. Your insights will certainly be helpful for other customers considering this air conditioner. If you have any further experiences to share or need assistance, please feel free to reach out. - -Ed | Insignia Support | https://www.bestbuy.com/site/brands/best-buy-brands/pcmcat1596746025285.c?id=pcmcat1596746025285 BBY-ExBrand_Insignia

I purchased this unit for the attic in the garage which has been made into a "loft". It's the perfect size and cools the area with ease, and quickly. The portability allows me to move it easily to another location. Highly recommend.

This works well, while being no noisier than a window a/c unit. I would prefer dual hose so I choose where air gets in from the outside. Due to mounting inequities of mobile home windows this is better than damage (rain water) caused by a window a/c install. Older mobile home windows are on the outside and storm windows are on the inside, open the window, leave screen in, put in the adapter and hook up the hose. A/C here we go, it cools my kitchen/living area, a ceiling or other fan does help circulation.
