Luckily I had a drop ceiling where I installed it but it looks pretty ridiculous that way. It functions and cools well. I probably should've taken it back b/c it wasn't perfect for my needs but it works as advertised so 4 stars.

My main living area is on the 2nd floor and has a western exposure. It gets very hot and uncomfortable in the warm months. I am looking forward to being able to enjoy my home with the wonderful cool breeze provided by my new Insignia air conditioner

We bought this for that room and it is doing an absolutely wonderful job against 2 windows (1 facing south) and a patio door. Even covered with thermal curtains you would melt with two large computers putting off heat. It is pretty quiet, sits in a corner and cools a 450 sq. foot room.

Great Little AC for the Price!

This little guy really cools down my house on the hottest of days. I use blackout curtains to help keep the house cool as well while running this AC. I love the timer and dimmer features as well.
