We have two similar units from Black and Decker and Euhomy, and we were surprised that the Insignia is the quietest one of the three.

It does turn on/shut off pretty aggressively, so you have to turn on the "constant fan" feature if you don't want it waking you up all night with cycles:)

Not good for long term use.

Best Buy sold me an open box item as new so it was dirty. The window system leaks air and heat in as much as it cools. So you will have a cool room while its on but the room will be warmer than when it was installed while off.

And the BTU is actually 2000 less.
