Amazing how much cleaner the dishes are than from 31 year old dishwasher which was still working. Glad I didn't wait until it stopped working. Installation went quickly and smoothly. If things change I will write another review but right from the start it has been a 5 star.

Run Away from KitchenAid Dishwashers
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Do yourself a favor- Don’t buy a KitchenAid dishwasher. I purchased one in a hurry and one month or less out of warranty the water wouldn’t evacuate and the dishes weren’t getting clean. When I purchased the unit I noticed that the tub filter had very large holes (very course). I was in a hurry, cost about $1,000 and hey KitchenAid must know what they’re doing right? Wrong! OK I troubleshot the unit ( had to remove from under the counter top) and rotate to expose the underside to get to the pump . Wow- at the pump there is a very fine screen to protect the pump/ motor. It was plugged with food debris . Why not just have a much larger fine filter that is easy to service from the tub? I recommend Bosh Dishwashers- had one for many years at another house with no problems.

Dishes are spotless and shiny. So quiet we have to check to make sure it is running. Looks great, no fingerprints. So glad we purchased

The "clean" light has stopped coming on at the end of the cycle. It makes me wonder how long it is going to last

I love the extra drawer on top. I thought it would not allow me to fit my taller cups in the second row, but there is a spot that goes down lower that you can fit the taller cups. Also, on the top rack you can place silver ware, which is good if you don't have as much silverware to wash. You can even take the silverware drawer out of the bottom and use the whole bottom part for larger pots and pans. No more pre-washing. My dishes haven't been this clean out of the dishwasher in 4 years. Kind of makes me worry how dirty were my dishes I was eating off of?
