Customers are saying

Customers commend the TX-NR6100 7.2 Channel THX Certified Network A/V Receiver for its outstanding sound quality, ease of use, and plentiful HDMI inputs. Many find the setup process quick and easy, and appreciate the high power and additional features offered at its price point. However, some customers have noted that the front display seems lacking and there is too much clicking between inputs.

We had high hopes for this reciever & when it works its great, but after only 3-4 months it started acting weird. The sound will just shut for no reason. Sometimes it happens when switching streaming platforms or changes channels while watching TV or doumg absolutely nothing. Customer support wasn’t helpful at all so we have to take it to an authorized service company but the closet one is 4 hours away anf pay shipping! So much for having a warranty on it! Its been nothing but a disappointment

    Shouldn’t cost more than $100. It’s crap.

This thing is a piece of crap, sounds cut out, won’t pass through, onscreen menu won’t shows. This is the one item that will make Best Buy’s “warranty” not a scam.

Onkyo TX-NR6100 does not support infrared remote extender. Remote has a proprietary fequency . Why would Onkyo do this ??? This unit will NOT work in another room. Must be displayed same room with the remote in direct plane with the reciever. I found out the hard $$$ way. Onkyo and Best Buy left me hanging with $800 loss. Sorry, It's not broke so we can't help you out. They say I should had known this ??? Really ??? Never use Onkyo or Best Buy again. Trash !
