Great Power Cord Replacement

Decided to replace that before replacing the computer for $1,000 or more. The Best Buy employee couldn't have been more helpful. He brought me right to the display, and explained that there were tips for all the major computers. The cord and tip has worked perfectly, and saved us the cost and hassle of replacing the whole computer.

mostly a Godsend, but a caveat
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.a Godsend if something happens to your original power cord--ONLY drawback is that the little adapters CAN fall off and so you have to be sure you are working in an area where it is easy to find if it DOES drop off and even consider taping or putting some kind of easily findable tag on the one you are using most.

Universal Laptop Charger.

The salesman I talked to in the computer department was very knowledgeable about what would work with my computer, and recommended the Insignia Universal 65W Laptop Charger. The charger comes with 9 different ends that would allow one to charge different devices. It works perfectly with my Lenovo.

Charger for Acer Aspire R

The first one had such a loose fit that I had to actually bend the prong and cover it with tape. This was is a much better fit for an Acer. I still have piece of tape over the the outside of the prong. However, I don't have to bend the prong or the laptop carefully from one place to another because the connection would be affected. Overall, happy to have found this charger.
