If you follow my blog, you’ll know that this is not my first time going round the headphone rodeo. Some years ago I tried a whole bunch of headphones, of which none really met the mark until I came across the Bose On Ear headphones. This time around, I’m doing the wireless thing. They do not have a Bose on ear wireless version at Best Buy. Their over the ear were just a tad too expensive for working out with. So I saw these Sony headphones and they visually looked like they could meet my need, they ain’t cheap, but not over top expensive so I decided to give them a try. After using them for a while, I actually think that they sounded really great. They synched up fairly easily with my iPhone and computer. I did like them. One of the problems I did notice right away was that there was a bit of lag when I tried to game with them. This was a dealbreaker already, but more importantly, and the final straw was that they didn’t securely stay on my head. I felt that I had to really restrict my movement when wearing them because I was afraid that they were going to fall of my head and get smashed. That’s just not going to work for me, and for those two reasons I took them back to best buy and got a full refund. I think that for everyday use, (music wise, not for gaming) they could work great. I really did like the sound quality.

Adjusting the headband and the earpads properly can help reduce discomfort while wearing the headphones. These headphones actually support super-soft, pressure-relieving earpads in foamed urethane evenly distribute pressure and increase ear/pad contact for a stable fit. As far as your experience with lag issues, this may be resolved by isolating your Bluetooth connection with your connected device or resetting the headphones. We value your opinion and feedback. Blue in the tooth

The noise reduction feature is nice. It wont cover the sound of a riding lawn mower, but is much better than the buds I had been using. While it will blue tooth from my Ipad mini, it is not playing well with my sandisk device like my Sony speaker does. I have to use it wired and that's not what I was after.

Expected the performance to be a bit better

The mic takes 5-10 seconds to calibrate after it establishes a Bluetooth connection with a host. Till then the user's voice sounds like a robot. There is no mute feature on the hardware. It is easy to connect to a new device.

Headphones starting to come apart

Overall the product was nice while it lasted, unsure how long these are meant to be durable for.

I would have liked Sony Headphones app integration at this price and the button control is a bit difficult to get used to. Also would have liked better materials like a metal band, the plastic feels a bit cheap. Transparent mode is unexpectedly good, and I really like the battery life. 70/100 Average.

Comfortable but difficult to feel control switches

I listen to rock, rap and pop while working out and the sound (noise control blocks out other sounds beautifully!!!!) adapts to dif types of music.

Unfortunately, this unit does not support the Sony Headphones Connect app to fine tune sound frequencies to your music. For low sound level, turn up the volume of the headset and the connected device.
