    The ice machine works well. But the customer service was below poor. The first person I spoke to was so rude. If it was not that I was buying and picking this up for someone else I would not have bought it from Best Buy. I had not been to a best buy in over 10 years. I will not be returning.

    DO NOT BUY! I had this machine for 2 years and it broke down. I keep getting an “add water” message about 20 seconds after I start it….even though the water tank is full. Google this before you buy and see the thousands of people that have had the same issue. I’ve replaced the filter, updated the software and even changed the pump. Nothing is working. Contacting GE is pointless because they will not help you trouble shoot at all.

    Takes a bit to begin making ice, but I suppose that's the same for all ice machines. The only thing I don't like is that when I place the ice in the freezer to store it, it becomes a big chunk of ice. It's a bit hard to try and keep it from sticking to each other and retain its original shape.
