love this item!! my fridge stopped making ice. i’ve had this product for a while and i use it everyday!

Awesome ice machine, but the descaling process is a little cumbersome. Also, the light inside faded out/burntout after a couple of month. Machine works as intended though.

This ice machine is a dream come true. It doesn't leak. It has an easy keep full method, and the ice is wonderful! It is quiet and can keep up with my husband who is an ice junky. It is so much better than the original firstbuild model we had--it did last over 4 years even with its design flaws--I am hoping this pretty model lasts just as long.

This ice maker is the greatest. Makes ice pretty quickly and up to 38lbs a day. I put it in bags and freeze it so there is always done in hand.

If you like the ice from Sonic then you will love this thing. Its used so much my only gripe is I wish the water container was a lot bigger. Yes its a little pricey but having non stop nugget ice day in and day out is nice. It produces enough ice to even keep up with get togethers as long as you keep the water container full.

Fantastic ice maker. I personally have had no issues but we had one at work that broke pretty quickly due to the harder water line. If you have soft water though and refill the tank this thing is perfect. Thinking about getting a second for the other house its so good!

Best ice machine ever. When family members come over to visit they always say yes to a glass of ice tea because they want the ice. Sometimes I fill a cup full of ice and add Tajin, it makes a great snack. You won’t regret the purchase.

It works. A little squealy sometimes, but we keep it back in the laundry room so we don't notice it much. I think 4.28 stars would be more appropriate, but it wasn't an option.

I love my ice machine! makes ice quickly. i think the tank (where the ice is kept) may need to stay colder. i think overnight it melts a little because when i wake up it is making ice when we have not used any ice. But other than that i love my ice machine!!

After wanting a nugget icemaker for years, I finally caved and bought this model thinking the high price would equate to great quality. Sadly that wasn’t so. When the new ice is fresh, it’s good. But the storage compartment isn’t insulated well enough to keep it in that shape for long. The ice melts together and becomes quite watery. I was willing to overlook this shortcoming until the noise started. After four months of using this icemaker it started making an excruciatingly loud noise. Completely unbearable, made me want to gouge my eardrums. Returned for a store credit.

I've had this machine for about 3 weeks and its great. I mean the fridge that makes ice like this would be better but that's not in my budget. The ice is soft and crunchy. It also is good for making fruit smoothies, frozen daquiris and frozen margaritas.

Works perfectly. Small nuggets of ice. Perfect size to fit for the counter space in my kitchen.

This ice maker is the best! We absolutely love this machine! You never have to worry about running out of ice and you never have to worry about making ice yourself!!! This machine makes you want to have a drink with ice, it’s a total must have in your home! Throw away the ice trays!!!

Love this ice machine. I have nothing but good things to say. I recommend it to everyone i know. I even have family who ask for a cup of ice before i come over.

We purchased our Opal 2.0 a month or so ago, and have loved it. Truth be told... we purchased one of the original Opals when it was a Kickstarter project, and had it plugged in, making ice, every day for 6 years. What happened to it? I think our hard water killed it. Why buy another one? Opal ice is just.that.great! Spendy? Perhaps... but it's great ice, and great to have all.the.time.

After our Samsung refrigerators ice maker died, we needed something for our family of 5 and often family gatherings and this has provided just that. We originally bought a smaller ice maker but it never kept up with our family needs. We are able to fill 3 32oz hydroflask bottles in the morning when the kids are off to school. Makes the best crunchy ice. Very happy with this purchase.

Ice is great , simple to set up and use. Unfortunately it makes a loud noise after a few weeks of running it. Get the protection plan .

This creates very nice ice. The cleaning process is definitely a project. I think if it was a closed system and had ice dispensing instead of everyone scooping it would be more hygienic.
