Almost what I wanted but excellent

I had wanted to get the ASUS M51-2 but that wasn't available. This has been a worthy trade off. It is capable of everything my desktop does from gaming, programming to 3d modeling/rendering. This is NOT a lay on your lap laptop, though no 'high power' one really is. You will want a cooling tray of some sort under this. The fans on it work but it does get hot and the more cooling the better. You won't want this on your skin :)

I added a 2TB NVMe SSD out of the box and the upgrade took less than 5 minutes. So far the customization has been effortless. I'm replacing an Alienware m17 (a good machine) and I am staggered by the difference. Buy this.

A pleasure to work on.Only one minor disappointment. For the price, it should have come with a video camera, especially in these times of zoom meetings, etc.

Do not buy
