Required a Workaround to Get it to Work Right

Intended use: One 1080 monitor to be used in portrait mode and one 2k monitor to be use conventionally. Issue, when plugging in the HDMI cables into their respective ports on the adapter, the 1080 monitor worked fine but the 2k monitor would only render in a max resolution of 1920x1200. After verifying that the cables were plugged into the correct ports, I searched the web to troubleshoot. This didn't get me anywhere so I called Insignia's tech support. After a few questions and a short hold time, I was advised that the unit was defective and I should return it for a replacement. After receiving and installing the replacement adapter, I had the same issue. Frustrated, I decided to try one more thing: I used the adapter for the 1080 monitor in portrait mode and used the standard port on my laptop for the 2k monitor. That worked. So I'll keep the device - although at the end of the day I pretty much overpaid for a single HDMI-USB adapter.

Great adapter to use

It allows me to use a dual screen setup since I am working from home for a while. It took me about 5 months to realize that it has 4K and 1080 ports. Once I realized this then now I am able to run 2 27 inch monitors on a 2550x1440 setup. All in all, this product is definitely worth the money.
