I really like better then Firestick just because I get more apps to work on it. The only thing for it to work properly is that you need your Wi-Fi to the stick is 2.4GHS. 5.0 does not work will.

Super easy setup. You do need to have an internet connection. The controller can turn the tv on/off or adjust volume without the main controllers.

We love google products. The google chromecast is one of our favorite additions to hour home. We are planning on getting a couple more for the other TVs in our home.

It’s not perfected like an Apple TV (UI, picture quality, etc.) but for thirds the price of the aforementioned Apple TV, I cannot complain.

From my experience, this is by far the best streaming option out there! I love the layout and responsiveness. Wish it had higher quality picture/audio options, but definitely not bad.

Great device with virtually zero lag. The remote is a lot more convenient that using your phone. Recommend to all.

I use to have not a 4K but the regular one and it worked better than this one. When it works is good, but this specific unit gave me so much trouble loading apps, it will freeze installation will take forever. The remote has been cheaper 1 drop and bye bye battery cover and there is no replacement! the setup is really anoying havin gto go through google home. I willl not recomende this one you better get a Firestick Ultra 4K with compatibility for wifi 6 way better simpler and faster.

I installed this for my brother, he loved it but his significant other couldn't stand the YouTube TV guide menu. It was very easy to install and for me it was quite intuitive.

This is what I've been missing! I usually just use my chrome cast and mirror my phone, but this has been a game changer! This to me is better than the Roku that I also have used before.

I needed a replacement for an older version of Chromecast, and I'm not able to use at my school where I teach. I can't cast, which is why I bought, and the new version is all about selling you streaming material. Perhaps it is my school wifi, but there is no tutorial that so far can help me overcome the casting solution. I tried at home on our wifi, and I can't cast photos from Google photos. I understand the advancements, but miss the simplicity of the old Chromecast and believe this device is not a good casting device...but is a self-streaming device.

This streaming device is well refined and the versatility of android allows you to modify and use what apps you would like.

The Chromecast with Google TV 4K is a decent streaming device that provides access to a wide variety of content. The 4K resolution and picture quality are good, and the interface is easy to use. One issue we've had with the device is that the buttons on the remote can be sensitive at times, which can be frustrating when trying to navigate menus or select specific shows or movies. Overall, it's a satisfactory streaming device that gets the job done.

This new chrome cast model is a severe disappointment. I have the previous model and it works a lot better than this one. The one thing that separates Googles streaming device is the ability to cast from a mobile device to your tv. However this new model has a tough job doing just that. The biggest issue I was having was that every couple minutes the stream would jump ahead 5 secs during a show. I have high speed internet from Google Fiber and never had an issue with the previous model doing this. The Google TV interface and remote were the main reasons I wanted to try this device. The remote and Google assistant worked well. But the Google Tv had a bunch of bugs. Apps were crashing & losing connection (HBO Max & Peacock for example). The library was a great new feature to compile a mass watchlist from all my subscriptions but Google needs to fix the ability to add Netflix Originals to it and a way to sort between Tv and movies. For the remote it worked turning the tv on and changing the volume but the tv input button did not work. This new model of chrome cast has potential but unfortunately doesn’t deliver what the older model did so well. I returned it after spending a couple days trying to fix the casting issue (everything was updated and internet speeds were high) but the streams would keep jumping ahead every few minutes. I would be open to trying this chrome cast again down the road if Google fixes these glaring issues.

If you are of the Google denomination, this product will work for you.

Good upgraded chromecast that you dont have to use phone any longer comes with remote. But limited on apps ti be down loaded example no spectrum app or charter. Had to return due to that fact.

Pretty good for an entry level product. Integrations are good and the content aggregation/recommendation is good. The remote is a bit slippery.
