The google chromecast with google tv is a great streaming device. I purchased because Roku was stopping the Youtube TV support. The screen casting is nice when using your phone or computer.

Easy setup! I have a TV that already has Google TV and replaced it with this, its MUCH more responsive, and remove worked right out of the box for my TV.

Great! Ready to cut the cord. So Much better than the original chrome cast. So worth the cost.

I purchased these Chromecast dealies so I can watch Spectrum Cable on my TVs without the Spectrum cable boxes. It’s a clumsy work around that is so lame & only necessary because Spectrum apparently has licensing disagreements with ROKU & other s Treating aps services that previously worked perfectly. These greedy companies with their proprietary devices are doomed to fail in the end, but in the meantime, I have to jump through all of these nonsensical hoops just to watch a baseball game. The Chromecast works most of the time, but sometimes doesn’t recognize the device that it is casting to, thus requiring a reboot of the various systems, thus resulting in missing live TV events & leading to disappointment, sadness & borderline melancholy. Life is certainly not perfect right now.

Overall a great product, the remote works well and the UI is simple to manage. Has just about any streaming service you could want and easily searches all of them with the Google Assistant. But there are some issues, and when I say issues I mean bugs. Because Google TV is a new product many developers have not resolved small quality of life bugs. There are several examples of this, Amazon Prime has a bug that causes audio latency, Disney+ does not recognize my Atmos speakers, and many other apps have failed to recognize my displays resolution and HDR capabilities. None of these issues are Google’s fault, but they significantly detract from the overall experience. Ultimately the Google TV will be a great product, but right now there is a steep early adopters fee for those who have higher end tv and sound.

We like this a lot, I've tried Roku, FireStick and AppleTV but this one may be the best. I wish I bought a darker color since it is sometimes hard to find the white remote on type of an off-white bed comforter.

Good device if you already use google products. Also downloads android apps. NVidia GeForce now works on this as well so no need to pay $150+ for the NVidia shield.

I really like the new Chromecast; a person can leave it plugged in, turn it off with remote and it will stay cool. It connects directly to the internet, so you don't have to cast from your phone or tablet all the time.

it is awsone for me. it has google tv. it's so easy to use. just open the box, take the chromecast out and plug it in the tv. you will enjoy millions of media, include movies, music and game, in the internet by it.

The 4K google chromecast is truly one of a kind, however, if your TV comes with all of the apps , you don’t necessarily need this. I will say the 4K quality is impeccable!

The new device seems to be "Beta" quality at best. In the last 3 hours I've had it, I have run into a few issues: 1. The display keeps switching randomly to 1080p randomly. It comes back to 4K 60Hz on its own - it seems random but this is a big bummer. 2. Though I have turned on "Match content for Dynamic Range" setting, this does not work across all apps. For example, on Movie Anywhere, HDR/Dolby Vision does not kick in at all. It seems to work on Netflix most of the time though. 3. The GUI is clunky and sluggish compared to Apple TV 4K or Nvidia Shield Pro. When navigating, I've had the GUI freeze on me a dozen times in the last 3 hours. 4. The colors in HDR/Dolby Vision mode seem more muted than ATV/Shield. I am wondering if this has something to do with the Color Space not being switched properly or something? Tried it with my LG OLED as well as Samsung QLED - colors appear muted in HDR mode. 5. The Atmos seems to (slightly) lack punch compared to ATV (same with 5.1 surround). As someone pointed out on another thread, sound is loud but not as crisp as ATV. 6. I configured my Harmony Elite remote (Manufacturer: Google, Device: Chromecast with Google TV) - and the "back' button does not seem to work. Other than the aggregated view from various apps, so far I have not found anything worthy enough to replace my Apple TV 4K or Nvidia Shield with this device. I will probably return this and stay with my current devices.

Loved it so much I bought 3 for the house and 2 as gifts. The speed of the interface is really the biggest factor for me followed by the aggregation of content from all my streaming sources and a couple of new free ones.

This is my second Chromecast with Google TV. I can't say enough how great it is and how practical. It is definitely an upgrade over Chromecast and makes my TV a smart TV. The number of apps offered is wonderful.

A worthy upgrade from Chromecast Ultra. This is worth every penny. The built-in app works better and more smoothly. And I really like the voice command. Just hold the button and say whatever you need it to do.

Totally worth the upgrade. The platform allows you to watch all of your streaming services in one place. I love the mic feature it saves me from having to look for what I am trying to watch.
