This is a great little ice machine. Slim enough to keep on the counter and it doesn't get in the way. It is also quiet and the basket fills relatively quickly. Great bang for your buck!

This ice maker cycles quickly. Making hollow tube shaped ice cubes on freezing finger or spikes. Producing a gallon storage bag of ice in about 20 minutes. The ice cubes are not clear as in bagged ice, but look like what you get when using an ice cube tray. They no taste to the cubes and they keep things cold like bagged ice. We make a couple of bags at a time for our drinks and a lot of bags if we are going to use a cooler. Often throw ice cubes in a bag into a small cooler to keep drinks cold. Plan to take on camping trips for ice on demand. 26 pounds of ice is a lot of ice in 24 hours. It is easy to drain and clean. Also has a small foot print so easy to find space to set it up. All and all we do like it and so been useful. Having colors to chose from was nice , too.

The ice maker is exactly what I expected. It’s fairly quick at making it as it fills its basket in about 15 min. The rate of production would be adequate for two people who use ice in every drink based on my use. Noise was a concern but I was pleasantly surprised there. It’s actually off most of the time and the fan kicks on when it’s making ice, the noise is not to bad there, but when the water runs low the pump gets loud so just refill when you hear it essentially. It also has a light indicator for refills but it didn’t kick on before the noise got loud so I preemptively fill. Works like a charm with those considerations in mind. Also it’s small enough I can bring it to the beach or to a cook out easily. (Also! Be sure and toss the first couple baskets like the instructions say)

Works really well doesn’t make a large amount of noise and is great for just the two of us makes plenty of ice. We just stored in the freezer. Awesome product.

Great little Icemaker ! The cubes last long in my cup. It’s so easy to use. I like the fact that it’s compact and quiet !

Absolutely love it t. Small profile and works great. Dog's can have crunchy water whenever they want. Produces ice quickly. Super convenient.

I saw this item at a retreat center and had to have one!! I am not able to use the ice maker in my fridge due to plumbing location so this is a great option! Makes plenty of use for my needs atakes very little counter space. Quiet, fast and an overall great purchase!!

This Insignia ice maker is my 5th, count 'em, FIFTH countertop ice maker and I think it may be the magic bullet. Three of other four, brand names all, simply weren't up to the task; each one dying within a year. The fourth, also an Insignia, was soooo easy to replace when it, sadly, bit the dust; kudos to the excellent warranty policy offered and honored by Best Buy. A couple of things that make this ice maker lead the pack: It's got an extra-long cord that makes it so much easier to move to the sink for for cleaning and refilling. At cord's end is a lie-flat-angled wall plug that doesn't stick out, taking up valuable counter real estate and making appliance placement difficult. It's quiet, dependable, easy-to-clean, provides two widths (the smaller size fits perfectly into the neck of a water bottle), and delivers ice in about six minutes. But my absolute favorite aspect is that the air intake fan is on one side only, meaning don't have to treat it like a nuclear reactor, keeping it at least 12 inches from everything on each side. I can butt it directly against a wall in the back, and another on the left side. Unless there's a power blip, when the safety switch keeps it from restarting without my knowledge. I'm never without ice. Which is, after all, the point.

The best investment made in the household. The fast ice increased my kids desire for liquids. It runs quietly and is easy to drain.

This ice maker is quick at spinning out ice. The ice can be small or large bullets. It is easy to keep clean and fill up with water. The one thing I do not really like is the ice is wet and if you try to move it to another container, the ice just freezes in a huge clump and is unusable. Other than that, it has a small footprint and the ice is easy to chew.

It works well and makes ice quickly. It's easy to fill and seems to be resistent to growing mold when stored with the lid open so it can dry out adequately. My only issue is that since the device isn't insulated, the ice starts melting and when it's put in the freezer, freezes into a big clump. It's easy enough to break apart though.

Before I purchased this, I read the reviews. Which were very helpful. It still was much better than I expected. Compact size for limited space on small counters. It runs quiet. Ice is made quickly. The choice of sizes are perfect. We love the shape, it's great for the reusable water bottles. The basket looks small, but it holds a large quantity of ice. It is not a freezer, so the ice will melt if you let it sit. However, it will turn itself off and reuse the water from the melted ice. I am very happy with this purchase.

Would never purchase Samsung appliances but I of course moved into a home with a brand new Samsung refrigerator. The ice machine on it is terrible, constantly freezes up, had it worked on one time and was fine for a few weeks. Called the appliance guy back and told us he no longer serviced Samsung because they are just that bad! Our alternative to purchasing another fridge was this ice machine. After reading the reviews we decided to go with it. It’s small enough that it can tuck away into my cabinet with a plug in it so it runs in there and isn’t an eye sore on my counter top. In about two hours it fills with ice, it takes about three times of this to fill my ice machine. I followed another guys review to dump onto a clean dish towel to get off excess water before putting into our ice maker, this was a huge help. No problem with clumping, can keep ice maker on Samsung fridge off and still let this ice come out of there. We make ice about once a week to put in our fridge for a two person household.

Some reviews said the 33 model was loud, I don't think so. We got the 33 and 26 pound models and ran them side by side. We thought the 26 model was actually louder than the 33. The 26 model seemed to make the ice faster than the 33, though the 33 "large" cubes were bigger than the 26 model "large" cubes. We changed both units to "small" and they appeared to be the same as each models "large" - so don't let 2 or 3 "different" sizes sway your decision here. The 33 is big, so you definitely need more counter space for it. The 26 is better for portable use (like taking camping) or for a smaller kitchen, dorm room, etc. When on sale, the 33 isn't much more money than the 26, and with the larger cubes and capacity, we decided on the 33 for that reason. But you really can't go wrong with either. Great quality and super easy to use. Foolproof even.

Works great. Quiet. The basket is small but I keep it by the filtered water dispenser and it gets the job done if you don't mind waiting a few munutes

this icemaker makes ice quickly and efficiently, and it really just sits on your counter and does it job without complaint. I have kept this plugged in 24 seven as I do not have a dedicated icemaker and have not had any problems. I really like the quality of the ice that it makes, and use the ice every day in my smoothies.

This icemaker is great for a countertop one. It makes ice in a reasonable amount of time. I would recommend it to anyone.

I have only used distilled water in this unit, which I recommend. It keeps the unit clean. Any other type of water will contaminate it. Even bottled water or good old Chicago tap water contains minerals , and other impurites that will cause problems. Keep the unit clean and you will have no problems. I like this ice maker.

This was the absolute best purchase I've made in over a year. Saves me time and is far better than regular ice trays. In a year I've went through 10 plastic ice trays. It helps me free up space in my freezer. It looks so attractive sitting on my counter. It's not to big so it doesn't take up alot of space. We can have a full cup of ice in less than 20 minutes. It's not loud at all. Easy to clean and is not a fingerprint magnet. It comes with a ice scoop. The only con is there is not a ice scoop holder. But, that is not a dealbreaker. I'm super satisfied with this ice maker.
