About the 3rd batch of ice, if you have it set to make the largest size it can, they're pretty well formed and a lot larger than the first batch. So I'd just dump the two tiny first batches back into the reservoir and wait for the larger ice to start dropping. So that's a bit of a pain that it has to work itself up to the large size ice cubes, but I could deal with it. Now this past month the ice machine started to get extremely loud and louder. I don't know why, so I need to take it in and have it looked at. We haven't even had it a year yet so I'm giving it only two stars. Because I'm tired of putting up with sub par gadgets just to have them break less than a year anyway. Just when I was starting to like the little machine too, disappointed. I wish I would've kept track of how many times I used it and how much ice was made each time.
