Good for camping or small events when you don't have an ice source. It's not going to be supper fast, but it will provide a good source for adequate few person ice as well as backup.

I will say it wasn't easy to clean thoroughly, but with a bit of additional effort, we could clean it well. It made enough ice for us to fill a fairly large ice bucket within 16 hours. However, a year and two months after our purchase, the machine broke down. The water line in it runs hot, which eventually ruined the motor and the fan. It couldn't run cool enough to make ice, and thus was useless. Feels like planned obsolescence, and will not buy again.
