Evidently the sensor had malfunctioned that detects levels. It make ice even if the water was low or the it was overfilled with ice. Instead of replacing we just returned and got another brand. It did make good ice though, just didn't know when too stop.

We purchased this last june, used it for the a few months through summer then stored it away until two weeks ago. Hopefully they will replace it as we’re still under the 1 year warranty
