    Would give a 5 if it kept ice cold. But it starts melting as soon as it is drops. Not really big enough to supply ice for parties or anything bigger than small family

    Worked great....for 2 years and 21 days. Plastic piece broke (on its own) and now no longer makes ice. Kinda disappointed it didnt last longer.

    The countertop ice maker is much cheaper than getting the refrigerator ice maker repaired. I did appreciate the ice this machine made but the ice maker only held up for a year. I bought another, same brand, but added the extended warranty the second time around. The second ice maker failed at the end of October so about 8 months. I returned it to the store. They fully refunded the cost minus a pro-rated warranty. They no longer offer a warranty. I'm assuming it's because the ice maker fails too often. If you purchase this, expect it to last 1 year. I did love the ice it made and I used it LOT. I purchased a different brand after the second attempt with the Insignia. The alternate brand produces similar quality, soft ice.
