I read reviews about this ice machine all over the web and it seems to have this problem a lot..but I haven't read any solutions fot this. I have had this icemaker for only 9 months !

I have cleaned it out twice with vinegar water and it does well for 1 or 2 cycles, then taste like plastic again. I do not leave water sitting inside and leave the top open until its completely dried out. I wanted to return it, but the return time was only 15 days. I feel this is unfair for this type of product.

Not sure why there's no such thing as a good inexpensive ice maker. It was glitchy from day 1. Either thought it was out of water or the limit switch on the ice scooping mechanism failed to work properly.

I opened the box just a week from today and made ice that one day just fine. I went to make some ice yesterday and ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!! NO ICE FOR OVER A HOUR OF IT RUNNING! I want to bring it back to the store for some type of compensation. Unfortunately, I through the box away, it I’m still going to try to return it for some type of customer satisfaction.

Moldy parts, ugh

I would clean the inside every couple of weeks, until I noticed there was mold build up on the tray that pushes the ice out from the top. Gross! The tray is not accessible and can not be cleaned properly. It's a shame because we used it daily.

Breaks in a year

Been less than a year in use. And has broken though looked online for why the fan would stop turning on. Another individual posted a video talking about the water line leaking water on to the fan and shorting it out. This has indeed happened with ours as well. This is a poor manufacturing problem.
