This machine works well enough it’s a bit slow takes awhile to get enough ice but it ok for the price.

I purchased this countertop ice maker as a replacement for my freezer ice maker. It makes a lot of ice! Very easy to use! We absolutely love it! Highly recommend!

Fantastic machine, quick and super easy! We take It camping and also home use!

We love this ice maker! We purchased it to use during a 2 month home renovation while we’re camping out in our family room. It makes nice sized ice cubes, really fast. We’ll fill the reservoir and let it run, as cubes are made we put them in a freezer bag for storage. This is so much easier than buying, hauling and storing 10 lbs bags of ice.

Great product. Takes up very little space. Produces ice quickly after the first couple of batches.

Great product. I've owned multiple brands (about 3 or 4) and so far this is the best. It produces a massive amount of ice. My friend saw how much ice it produced and immediately bought one. His ice maker was still good but he was very impressed. Me too. I live in an apartment and I don't have an ice maker, so this is a perfect solution. Be sure to put it where the fan isn't blocked or too close to a wall and it will operate perfectly.

Very easy to use! If we buy another in the future, we would want bigger cubes.

Overall this is a great machine! We've had a similar one (different brand) for several years and it's been a lifesaver as our refrigerator icemaker is very slow and has a small bin, so we were always running out of ice. I've managed to keep the old one alive by repairing it numerous times but the motor finally started to seize up and $50 to replace it I decided it was time for a whole new unit and chose this one. While Insignia is a 'house' brand, I've found their products to be of high quality and in many cases better than other name-brand products I've bought. So far this one has not disappointed. The good: the icemaker has a smaller footprint than our old one while maintaining the same capacity. It is also quieter and makes ice faster. The unit feels solid and appears to the made quite well. The only major difference is that the lid that covers the ice bin is not as substantial as our old one; this one is a single-layer of clear plastic and the old one was double-wall with a smaller, clear single-layer window. Thus far this doesn't appear to impact performance in any way. We've had the machine for about a week and it has been cranking out ice ever since and works very well. How long it will last and with how much maintenance remains to be seen. These units do require a lot of upkeep and need to be cleaned regularly (and they are not easy to clean either, but the effort is worth it to always have ice on hand.) This one looks like it will be even harder to clean than our old one due to the more compact design. While they took a lot of care in making the unit compact, it makes getting to the interior surfaces for cleaning a bit harder. The one not-so-good thing; the fill line. This may not be apparent to most, but this is actually a thing and it will make sense with an understanding of how these machines work. On our old machine, there was a tolerance between the fill line and the bottom of the ice basket. This is important because when the unit is running and making ice, it fills a troth (or bucket) in the upper part of the machine with water. When the cycle completes, it dumps that water out and it flows back into the reservoir. This bucket holds a good bit of water, so if you add water to the fill line while the machine is running there was enough room to hold that extra water without overflowing into the ice basket, On this new machine, there is NO tolerance at all, so if you notice the water is low and add more while it's running it will overflow into the ice basket when each cycle completes and the water is dumped. This has been the one most annoying thing about this machine and it will take me some time to figure out where the 'real' fill line should be. Otherwise, I have to turn the machine off completely, fill it to the line, then turn back on; that is the only way to ensure it doesn't overflow. I wish they had thought of this in the design as that would have made it a full 5-stars for me. Overall, I still like this icemaker and feel that it is superior to many of the other brands selling similar units for more money. I would definitely recommend this one as well.

Bought one of these a couple years ago and it is the best little ice machine ever. We don’t have to buy bags of ice anymore or mess with trays. It sits perfect on my counter top . Love it !!

I bought this as a gift for my wife because she loves ice. Ice cubes come out really good and rhe machine itself is quiet enough.

This portable icemaker works as advertised and looks great sitting on my counter. We decided to not have an icemaker in our new refrigerator as they always seem to break before the refrigerator and they take up a lot of freezer space. After the first few ice cycles, this icemaker generates ice in 15 minutes or less. My only issue is that if you don't remove the ice from the bin as soon as it is made, it melts quickly.

Works great. Saves me a lot of freezer space. I use it once a week. Save the ice in a bag in my freezer. Make as much or as little as a need. Was great for the holidays. Quiet and compact

Such a a great purchase!! My fridge is old and doesn’t have a lot of space for ice. So we use this on top of counter and it’s easy for me to use and the kids. Makes ice quickly.

It is relentless in making ice. It keeps going as long as there's water in the reservoir. It's fairly quiet but it pulls 1875 watts, which is way more than a large microwave, and it only makes 9 little cubes every 8 minutes. So, plan ahead because it takes awhile to have enough for a drink. This machine is good for making ice to stockpile for later use. However, the cubes are wet on the surface when they're made and will easily stick together in a big lump your freezer. Also, the "large" cubes are small and the "small" cubes are tiny. We use it periodically because our ice consumption will often outpace our fridge's ice maker. It's portable too, so that's a plus.
