First off, these knives come already sharpened, so you don't have to sharpen each one initially. In fact, it states not to sharpen them out of the box. The knives are very sharp and the blades made of nicely weighted stainless steel. These seem like a set that will last a long time and not fall apart. The sharpener is for the knives in this set alone, so don't try and sharpen other knives. The biggest complaint I have is the block to hold the knives is kind of cheap in quality, mostly plastic. I also am not a fan of the knives stored with the blades horizontally, preferring them stored vertically. The block/base does have suction cups on the bottom, so once those are firmly attached you won't be moving it unless you use much effort. So for a basic set of knives (and kitchen scissors), this is a great set that should last a long time. They are kind of pricey, but you get what you pay for.

Best knife set at this price point! The sharpening mechanism works really well and I never have a dull knife. The only thing I would change is the large knives could be a tad bigger offering leverage when cutting larger items.

Great set of knives! Very pleased with the quality.

I've had this knife set for a year and a half and it's been amazing! Knives were sharp and scissors too. We used the built in sharpener as needed. Now the scissors are dull. Replacements aren't1 't available. The knives aren't really sharpening any more either. Warranty period is over. My advice is this, check out how easy replacement parts are to get first.
