But I do over ice and classic brews all the time. The tank can be moved to the back or side. I have made teas with the water and instant soups that need hot water. Plus I used the hot water for hot chocolate.

Way better than Keurig in every way

It brews quicker and better than the Keurig machines with the K-pods. It also holds more water, can brew a pot of coffee too. Only drawback so far has been the coffee grinds boiling dripping over the paper filter when brewing a full pot of coffee (have not tried less than full pot). I would highly recommend.

Best coffee pot we've ever had.

You can place plenty of grounds in the filter and it never backs up like our old pot. Carry the water reservoir to the sink for refill, easy, no mess. While your coffee may cool a bit with time, we prefer the thermal carafe to burnt coffee on a hot plate. We look forward to our morning pot. Making less then a full pot is easy and tastes great. A well designed appliance.
