When they went on sale at Best Buy I bought them. They are light, fit comfortably, and sound great as headphones. As noise cancellers they seem to do the job. I haven't taken them on an airplane yet but expect them to do well in filtering out engine and cabin noise. Grab them on sale and you got yourself a really good deal.

So much that we each got a set. There are now three in my house and they sound so good! They have excellent noise cancelling as well as an option for ambient sound so you can still hear people calling your name lol.

Only downside of these is the size (it’s a little too big for my head), and the sound leak. Other than that it’s great!

My husband has the TV on full blast, so in order to read I need to muffle the sound. We,live in a “open plan” condo and there is no place else to go . I use the headphones with music apps to help dim the dialog. They are comfortable to wear and easy to,use.

On the subway you will be able to hear a couple things though. I do miss the connect via NFC option that was present on the previous generation but ablility to connect to multiple devices is worth the trade off.
