The sound is great but the ANC and ambient sound are both really good. The companion app is probably the best around and they ar every comfortable (a little more clamping force than the XM4 but still wearable for hours.

Like other one star and 2 stars reviews indicated the volume is too low even at the highest level. Not loud enough at all when cranked up all the way on iPhone. Heck, my Mpow $18 headphones are much louder than this. I do not see how others rate this so high at 4 and 5 stars. I was truly disappointed in Sony. I missed Best Buy’s return window by 2 days. But I still returned this and got store credit for future purchase on something else. Glad I returned them and was not forced to keep something I barely enjoyed.

Better than the 900's but not by much. All are way to expensive for what you get, if priced at $125, I would give them a 5 star. Still have dropouts but not as much as the 900's

While we're glad that you like most of the features, it's unfortunate to know you are experiencing intermittent audio or sound cuts out while playing music on your headphones. Multiple Wi-Fi devices, microwave ovens, cordless phones, or devices that transmit 2.4 GHz band frequency radio waves can cause the sound to cut out. To improve transmission, set the headphones to prioritize on stable connection and see if it resolves the problem.
1. Launch the Sony Headphones Connect app.
2. Set the Sound quality mode to Priority on stable connection.
If the problem continues on the WH-XB910N headphones, please make sure that your headphones are running on the latest firmware version. The software includes key features, applications, bug fixes, and feature improvements. For instructions, please visit the link below.

I listen to bass heavy music and tried to get this bass from other headphones but just ended up with high volume and no bass. I mainly use them at home and not in public. The noise cancelling is fine for my use.
