I've had numerous less expensive Logitech wireless mice previously, but they've all died (started behaving erratically) in 12 to 18 months to the point where they were unusable. I consider this lifespan as being pretty poor. If this noticeably more expensive Logitech M650 L mouse actually lasts (functions properly) for 2 - 3 years or longer, then it will be worth the additional cost.

Great Bluetooh / USB Mouse

Great Magic Mouse replacement

But even with a Logitech owner manual I've been unable to get the side buttons to work. Other that that is very serviceable and I like the scrolling wheel.
